Lightweight Support with All-Day Comfort
The REEF Men’s Sandals Phantom II deliver that great mix of lightweight comfort and solid support. The footbed feels cushioned without being too soft, so you still get stability when walking, and the straps are smooth against the skin with no rubbing. They dry quickly, handle beach days well, and have enough grip for slick surfaces. A dependable, everyday flip-flop that holds up to heavy use while keeping your feet happy.

It's a Reef...
The sandal is well made, true to fit and comfortable. There are no rough edges, poor stitching or seam welds like cheaper versions. There is enough cushion with the sole and the toe straps are comfortable and have held up to the beach, water, and walking.

My first--but not last--pair of reef sandals
I have a friend who has worn Reef sandals for 3 decades and swears by them, so when I was having blister issues with my slide-style sandals, I asked him for his opinion on a potential solution. Thongs style flip flops from Reef was his answer. I had never worn thong-style flip flops before, as it always seemed to me that having something between my toes would be uncomfortable and/or annoying, but I found a pair (without the bottle opener in the sole, per my friend's further recommendation), and gave them a whirl. I don't believe i will EVER go back to slide sandals, and i will probably stick with Reef sandals specifically. Comfortable, lightweight, and affordable-- EXACTLY what I wanted in a pair of sandals. I was VERY impressed by how much my feet DID NOT slip and slide inside the sandal when wet (i like to garen in sandals)--a constant issue with my slide-style sandals, and the likely cause for my blister issues. I'm not a fan of obvious branding, and these fit that bill to a "T". Will look for this style, or something similarly 'undercover' when my current reefs wear out...Hopefully in 5+ years.

Nice flip flops, make my feet stink
Flip flops are very nice… they have nice support built into them and are made from quality materials. The texture on the top works well to keep you from sliding around in them if your feet get wet which is a huge plus! I do have a hard time with a lot of flip flops having too large of strap going between my toes… typically I’ve only been able to wear some Nike flip flops for that reason, but these have done really well at not upsetting my toes too much, although I have had a time or two that they did upset them after I’d been wearing them for a long time. I’d say I’d give them a 8 out of 10 for the fit for me in the toe area. Shoe sizing seemed to be correct. Durability has been great. My only complaint is that they make my feet stink if I wear them a lot. They did have a strong rubbery/plastic smell when I received them. I was wearing them all the time when I first got them but they made my feet stink so bad I had to put them away let me feet air out. I can’t wear them every day for that reason. They’re good for a couple hours a day but if I wear them all day, there’s a noticeable funk from my feet by the end of the day. If I wear them multiple days in a row, it gets noticeable just hanging out. For quality and durability and the anti-slip uppers and overall value I’d rate them a 10. As for the way the material interacts with me or makes my feet and the shoes stink so bad, which keeps me from wearing them all the time, I’m taking off a star. I almost want to take off 2 stars for that… but I do feel they are a quality product and if I go to my small assortment of flip flops (5 pairs) they are the ones I want to put on all the time, but I only end up wearing them if I’m going to be somewhere where I need the grip or think my feet going to get a bit wet while walking in them. Typically I just wear them to go move the sprinklers. I really wish I could wear them more.

Love them!
I just love these. My wife and I spent probably 2 weeks looking at different options with me being unable to decide. Finally decided on these after buying a pair of Chacos that were more money but hurt my feet so bad I gave them to goodwill. The soles are amazingly comfortable as is the strap, wet or dry they are easy and comfortable to walk in and I am not precious about how I treat them and they are holding up exceptionally well. I think they were at a great price point when comparing it to other name brands and like I said .. they are REALLY comfortable even on long walks. True to size and would absolutely buy again

Big guy buy.
Husband loves Reef flip flops. Light weight. My husband is 6ft 4in and 290 size 15. Flip flops does not compress from weight. Great product definitely will order more in the future for family and friends. True to size and easy slip on and go shoe.

Finding the right style for the right fit
Going to start by saying that I am loyal patron of Reef since the early 2000's and that I'll always have a pair of Reef sandals in rotation :). Like every footwear company, Reef has to adjust the foot shape they use year to year on different styles they put into the market. Finding a foot molding that works for 90% of the market (male or female) for the next 2 years of the product's shelf life means the fit can't be for everyone. I wear a 11 2E in running shoes like New Balance, Salomon, and Brooks. On the Phantom II, the length is perfect. Almost like at 10.9 size shoe if that makes since (no excess tail for someone to step on) - like it was cut out for my foot with no excess. The width is a little more narrow than usual as a lot of people commented on. Anyone over a 2E width will hang off. Also the straps on my sandals were a little tight so if you have a foot that needs a lot of volume you might feel it. I just tugged at them to stretch them out (didn't want to break them, but needed to break them in). The surface of the sandal is BY FAR one of their best designs for traction if you're in an environment that is wet (ie ocean, pool, river, tropical rain, etc). I've owned 2 pairs of the Reef Element TQT which has the same surface texture. It's grippy, soft-medium material won't feel like sand paper for long walks, but it provides excellent traction even when wet or sandy. Excellent! The sole of the sandal is way too rigid. It actually makes an audible "clack" on any hard surface. Excellent homing beacon if your stray too far from your family or friends. The lack of flexibility feels like you're walking on long boards. After giving these reasons, I think a fair rating is a 3-Star designating an average satisfaction of my purchase and how I personally rate these shoes for my feet. Hope this helps!
