My CR-10S's mother board mysteriously died. Not user error at all! There is no video proof! I replaced the motherboard with the SKR3, and then replaced the screen with this guy. First time Marlin setup and it was easy to setup. Great response time, great touch sensitivity. This size is just fine, but now I wish I would have gotten a bigger screen.

This touscreen is a massive update for the Ender 3 especially if you have a SKR mini E3 v1.2 or higher. Touchscreen operation requires your m/board to have a TFT header (serial connection) onboard. With this you can do on the fly anything using the touchscreen. I have 2 Ender 3's, One has a BTT SKR mini E3 v1.2 and the other has a BTT SKR mini E3 v3.0. This screen will also allow wifi capability for your E3 IF you can get it to run. I bought the wifi module but have yet been able to get it operable. I really like the capabilities of this touchscreen. Setting z-offset on the fly is a breeze.

My new go-to screen for many of my builds. Download the Firmware from BTT's github, pay attention to the cables. Screen is Bright and very clear to read/use.

I bought one of these for my CR-10 mini. I spent about two days struggling with getting serial ports configured properly, but eventually, I got it working. I absolutely love having a touchscreen GUI to control my printer with, even when the GUI is controlled by an external microcontroller and that sometimes causes issues configuring. If you want to go back to the old way, you can switch to "Marlin Mode". If you're using Klipper, the touchscreen GUI won't work (AFAIK) but marlin mode will, so long as you get the display configured properly. If you're not afraid of a little bit of troubleshooting, this is a great screen to control your printer with. It has its own USB & SD card port for g code file importation, but if you're using something like Octoprint, Mainsail or Fluidd, that doesn't matter so much. For anybody struggling to get the touchscreen GUI communicating, set one serial port to -1 (for usb control) and the next serial port to 2. Set baud rate at 115200 to begin with, then make sure the TFT is listening at 115200. Lastly, make sure your TFT wires aren't plugged in backwards. It won't hurt anything to swap em around.

Picture quality is great very nice to have a touch screen instead of a knob would definitely recommend this product.

wasted 2 days trying to get it to work in touch screen mode with an ender 3 max which has a factory 32 bit board etc etc.. absolutally nothing works as near as I can tell this will only work if you also swap out your main board to the bigtreetech boards it will NOT work with factory boards WASTE of your money!!! and worse your time to end up with exactly what you already have a crappy lcd screen as it will only work in Marlin mode and customer support is totally non existant, edit; ok this thing is a total waste of money DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK!! your printer is most likally usable currentlyt do yourself a favor and keep it that way!! this junk isn't even reliable in Merlin mode!!

Promoted as a drop-in replacement for CR-10. Not at all, also zero documentation and no precompiled fw available from the manufacturer. Had to flash a binary from the 3rd party site, otherwise would take a couple of hours to install the IDE, find correct sources and compile my own. For installation, had to watch YouTube video to use UART (got SKR MINI E3 v3 main board). Now it's running, and all good, but not gonna lie, it looked so much like a rewardless time sink first, that my initial reaction was just to return.
