Look elsewhere for a good hand strap
I decided to buy an Op/Tech Grip Strap because it looks to be a similar design to Nikon's AH-4 but because it's made out of neoprene I thought it might be better for a whole day. I also own Op/Tech's Pro neck strap and that is a great neck strap that I highly recommend. However, the Op Tech Grip Strap is horrible , it provides no support whatsoever and I felt as if my D700 was going to fall off my hand constantly. So the Grip Strap becomes a wetsuit for the Barbie's! I ended up purchasing the Nikon AH-4 and while it is a bit expensive it is worth it, the strap fits so nicely around my hand and offers better support than the Canon E1's I used to own, though they did a great job of support as well.If you're looking for a good hand strap for your dSLR, then I would advise against the grip strap from Op/Tech. The Nikon AH-4 or Canon E1 are both much better designs and offer the support necessary.

Works Great For Me
I purchased the OP/TECH Grip Strap, through Amazon, for my Canon SX10, and I really like it. It offers a firm, tight, grip from the camera to my hand and wrist. The strap is adjustable for large and small hands, and can be adjusted so you can reach the shutter. When you want to relax and put your arm down, the camera doesn't dangle or move around as your relaxed fingers are resting naturally between the lens and the grip. When it's time to shoot, you just lift up the camera and you don't have to adjust it in your hand. It's already in place. It attaches to the camera with a loop strap on the top, and a padded metal base plate on the bottom. It may not be for everyone, but it sure works good for me.

Maybe a better way to have your gear ready
Using a neck strap to carry around your SLR or mirrorless with lens attached is really uncomfortable IMHO. This wrist strap is just one alternative, but it’s my favorite.

I feel I wasted money with this wrist strap
I feel I wasted money with this wrist strap. It is a matter of preference, I kept using the regular neck strap

Great hand strap
When I got my Pentax K20d I didn't like having all that weight around my neck. I tried a few neck straps, it wasn't the weight on my neck, it was having the camera bounce off my chest.I looked around for a simple hand strap. I got a cheap one off ebay. It didn't really do the job. Then I came across this one.It took a little getting use to at first. As it snaps close on your wrist. But after you get use to it being strapped to your wrist, it fits like a glove. It would almost be impossible for it to come off with out unsnapping it. You don't have to grip you camera when you are wearing it, you can just let you hand hang freely.Just for kicks I demonstrate the security of the strap when ever I am near a bid drop off, I hold my camera over the edge and relax my hand and shake the camera. It never drops!

Excellent Solution
I found this product to be an excellent addition to my photographic equipment, and use it frequently. I would recommend it to anyone, including professional field photographers.BEST PROS: Comfortable and secure. If in a position where one might get distracted and may easily bump/drop/etc. a camera, the strong security function will keep your equipment in your hand. Too, the design and construction are very substantial.CONS: It will take a little getting used to. It is a very different solution, so (though they are complete) the instructions seem at least unusual... because they are.Like many things in photography, don't expect this grip to jump onto your person and be immediately yours. A little patience in the beginning will pay off big-time.
