Your missing out if you dont convert your 5th wheel to this gooseneck setup. Add the 5" offset and gain clearance to the cab. Pulls smooth and stable. The 5th wheel hitch arrived later than stated, which wouldn't have been a problem, except a signature was required. With no way to track the shipment, we didn't know when it was coming. Luckily we were home when the driver, called 10 min before he arrived. The hitch was well packed and in good shape.

First of all super fast shipping was a plus. Ordered on a Sunday and was shipped the next morning. Costumer service is a 100 in my dealings so far. Swapping the king pin for the gen-y was a little tricking but using the truck and a bottle jack and a little elbow grease. The gen-y is heavy but do able by ur self. Pulling the camper this weekend for the first time since I put it on this weekend and will update when I get back.

Installed on a 44’ toy hauler. Install was easy and straight forward. Only hooked and unhooked a couple times with a couple short pulls. If you don’t have a camera to see the bed of your truck it can be tricky. I have a camera so I am used to hooking up gooseneck style trailers anyway. Biggest plus is getting rid of the big bulky, heavy fifth wheel hitch out of the bed of your truck. Goose ball is rated 30,000 lbs. More than enough to handle the load. My trailer grosses at 20,000 lbs.

Big difference from the regular king pin. Towed smooth and really absorbed a lot of the bounce from the trailer. Didn’t feel it in the truck. First trip was 1000 mile trip perfect for the break in. Didn’t have any squeaks during break in like people say.

This is a great addition to any fifth wheel camper. Drastically improved the ride. I did have some very minor squeaks in a rainstorm. I love this thing! Money well spent.

The media could not be loaded. So, first off this is a heavy duty piece of equipment. It's extremely heavy and well built.I bought this hitch to replace a rota flex pin box. I was towing with a B&W sliding hitch. The setup was great, but it took up the entirety of my bed which led me to the Gen-Y. I had looked at the Reese Goosebox, but didn't like the airbag.First impressions of the hitch were favorable. I can't tell that it rides any better than my previous setup. This would depend on your current set up. If you have an older hitch with no flex or cushioning, you will probably notice a difference. Hooking it up is more involved because now I have to climb in the bed to connect the safety chains. On my previous setup, I could step on the wheel of my truck, lean over the bed, and connect the fifth wheel.I have seen claims that the ride is smoother and some people even see increased mileage. I have not experienced that. However, I did get my bed space back which was my main focus.One complaint is that the hitch is noisy. I am not sure if it is the rubber inside the torsion system or what, but it sounds like a squeaky bed. I contacted Gen-Y and they stated that they have never heard of that. Maybe I just got a noisy one. I attached a video so you can hear for yourself.I would recommend this to someone who wants a cleaner bed. But, If you think this is going to change your life because the ride quality is better, etc., you may be disappointed.
