A Life Beyond Amazing: 9 Decisions That Will Transform Your Life Today

Life Changing! Profound! Amazing!
Life Changing, Profound, Amazing! Dr. Jeremiah is a gifted teacher. I've read many of his books, and they are all edifying, encouraging, life changing, full of Gospel truth. His books range from living a true Christian life, living life more abundantly, even to the prophetic including several books on Revelation and on the book of Daniel! This book does not disappoint! Through this book Dr. Jeremiah teaches in depth each of the Fruits of the Spirit. They are of course love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. Of course, when we put our full trust in Jesus and accepted Him as our Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit lives within us and these fruits will grow as the Holy Spirit works within us to change us from the inside out! These fruits are produced by the work of the Spirit and Him alone, as we live and walk in the Spirit. However, we are commanded to pursue these fruits as well, as we make decisions from day to day, for example to love people who we feel as unlovable, or who even may attack us or hate us, or betray us, with the help of God, of course. For how difficult it is to love our enemies without the miraculous help of God! God filled us with His love so we can love others. In 1 Corinthians 14, after the famous chapter on Love in 1 Cor 13, He also commended us to pursue love ! In other words, we utterly depend on God for deep transformation and developing these fruits, but we as not just to sit back, we can and should take an active part in being obedient, abiding in Christ, and taking an active part in pursuing these fruits, with God help. Dr. Jeremiah not only teaches through sound biblical teaching, through inspiring stories, and give us practical suggestions on how we can have a life beyond amazing! If you have not yet read any of his books, he writes in a way that is easy to understand. This book is full of biblical truth and knowledge, but explained in a way that is easy to grasp and apply to our lives. I love the Chapter on joy. He quotes Rom 14:17 "For the kingdom of God is ... righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit." and states "Many Christians have the righteousness part down and maybe even the peace part. But they're clueless when it comes to joy. Instead of enjoying the Christian life, they seem to endure it." But our joy is a priority to Jesus, who says " These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and your joy may be full" John 15:11. We are even commanded to rejoice Phil 4:4. He quotes Rob Morgan "We may not be able to rejoice in our load, but we can rejoice in our Lord. We may find no joy in our situation, but we can rejoice in our Savior. To rejoice in the Lord means we rejoice in our unassailable, unchanging relationship with the sovereign Lord and in His qualities, gifts, promises, and attributes." One recommendation Dr. Jeremiah states is to bring to remembrance what the psalmist wrote every morning and remember what God did and is doing for us, and for what Jesus did for us on the cross and His faithfulness " This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it Psalms 118:24" He also wrote "Joy is determined by whether or not Jesus Christ is at home in your life." Our joy is not hinged upon the happenings in our lives, but it hinges on the person of Jesus Christ who is unchanging. If we know our source of joy is Jesus Christ, our joy will always be complete without wavering through the circumstances of our lives. Some of the practical suggestions that I have begun to apply includes, blessing, doing good things for, and praying for people, even if I thought they have wronged me. In my interactions with people daily, these interactions do not always go smoothly. Some people are harder around the edges or may be rude or may be cruel or abrasive. I have learned, to ask the Holy Spirit for help, to see them as Jesus see them and to love them, to do good for them, to pray for them and to bless them. It's been a challenge, but I do begin to see the difference, a transformation within me to becoming more Christlike with the help of the Spirit. Of course we all have a long way to go, but this book has reminded me of things that we forget as we go on our day. After we pray in the morning and all throughout the day, the cares of this world distracts us, and these reminders help us to fix our eyes once again on Jesus, our savior. Also I have begun to bring a little extra cash to work and food, whenever I see people needed it I can give them the little extra that I have. Its not much, but I do see God continually working in my life. This book of course has been a great help in that process. I highly recommend this book as if it is applied will transform you. Of course the absolute best book that will transform lives and contain the Gospel, which is the power of God that saves is the Bible, God's living Word, but I really do appreciate resources like this, from a wonderful bible teacher that can help the reader dive deeper into the scriptures. This book also teaches us to develop a heart of service, which is a sign of humbleness. This book includes a mountain of information, more than I can include here, and I don't want to include too many spoilers. But I highly recommend this book! I pray that this book will help many ! And I pray that we will strengthen our love for each other so that all will know that we are Your disciples, in the precious name of our Lord Jesus, Amen.

What a life changing book!
I was introduced to this book at a training for work, oddly enough. Far from a Christian organization, the director is a Christian and shared some of the aspects of it. I was so intrigued that I downloaded it that night and started the next day. So much information that I intend to go back through and do it again and hopefully lead a Bible Study on it in the near future. I also intend to look at more of Dr. David Jeremiah's books and work. I love listening to him on the radio as well. I have been a Christian for most of my life and in church, the same one, all of my life, and am just now realizing that I wasn't living the Christian life at all. No longer am I a slave to myself or the rest of the world. I want what He has for me, "A Life Beyond Amazing."

Hard to review as using this book in a Bible Study so just read a chapter a week. Have looked through it and looks to be exactly what I need, learning more about the Fruits of the Spirit! Excited to get started on this in a couple of weeks.

Wonderful Book. Don't Pass it UP.
Dr. Jeremiah talk about one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit each chapter. He injects much of his own life and struggles. I have learned that this man is genuine. I trust what he says, and yet I double check what he says and writes with the Bible for my own self. I receive a deeper understanding that way. I am now reading his book A Bend In The Road. I would recommend it to anyone. It is his true life experience with stage 4 cancer. He shows his human part of living this life, fear at times, peace learned, Deep Christian growth thru our trails and struggles . Two wonderful books that meet us where we live on this earth.
