OOlala Recovery Sandal

This shoe has helped me recover after struggling with Plantar Fasciitis more than I could have imagined. Within a week of wearing these post workout and throughout the day my feet began to have less pain. They also greatly reduce the "hobbling" (typical of plantar fasciitis) when I first wake up when I immediately put them on. They have excellent support for my arches. They feel firm but also a bit like I imagine a cloud would feel- Extremely comfortable. I plan to buy a second pair in the very near future.

I am in my 70's and I love these OOFOS Sandals. I wear them indoors as my floors are wood and very hard. They were recommended by my Podiatrist to help with my lower back pain. They really do help and are very comfortable. I also where a size 5 which is very difficult to find in shoes. I am on my second pair.

OOFOS makes OOlala in US Women sizes 5 to 11, so I copied these sizes from a popup chart on the OOFOS web site, and I copied the photo from that popup too. W5 | M3 — 9" W6 | M4 — 9.25" W7 | M5 — 9.5" W8 | M6 — 9.75" W9 | M7 — 10" W10 | M8 — 10.25" W11 | M9 — 10.5" I'm a man with 10.25" long feet, so I ordered OOlala in W10. The soles are marked "W10" and "EU 41". They fit my feet almost like the OOFOS photo. The footbed extends 3/4" ahead of my toes. The back of my heel is vertically even with the back of the footbed, without touching the lip. My arches rest comfortably on the arch supports. The fit seems ideal for me. I typically wear shoes two full sizes larger than this, because I need the widest part of a shoe to fit the widest part of my foot, and that leaves more space ahead of my toes than I need. But with this sandal, fitting width was not a concern. Simply fitting this sandal to my foot length worked for me. Walking in these sandals reminds me of walking in the original Swiss MBT walking shoes that had foam under their heels to simulate walking barefoot in sand. But these sandals also remind me, the exercise advocate Maggie Lettvin disliked shoes in general, and she said, "Shoes are splints for your feet." These sandals are different than shoes being splints, because they recruit my toes and ankles when I walk, yet they still support my arches.

Amazing flip flops. I got my pair at a small shoe store that sells only very supportive shoes, and Amazon sells them for the same price as the other store did so I would suggest just getting them on Amazon. The sales rep at the store I visited asked me to try these on and I was sold immediately. The arch support is incredible. You can feel the difference in support immediately (compared to most normal shoes), and it feels like heaven. It's like being on a cloud, but not a squishy memory foam cloud that gives no support, like with Sketchers and some other brands. It's hard to describe but it's really good. I suffered from a terrible case of plantar fasciitis in one foot for almost two years and I can only wear supportive shoes now or I quickly start having arch pain in that foot again. I can't risk a full relapse because it's a very nasty condition that is extremely hard to get rid of once you have it. You have to be extremely vigilant in wearing supportive shoes and not walking barefoot EVER until it's gone. I shouldn't even walk barefoot now that I've gotten rid of it, but I hate wearing shoes in the house so I take the risk on that front. LOL. However, I will never go back to wearing cheap shoes from places like Target, Walmart, Payless, etc. As far as wearing flip flops, these are literally the only ones I can wear because I haven't found any others with arch support, and the support on these is amazing anyway so I wouldn't want any others! You can wear them all day long and will not have any arch pain and your feet won't be as tired as with other shoes. My mom tried mine on and loved them so much that she wanted some too, so I bought her a pair on Amazon and she wears them constantly!

These are so comfy. Great support. The only regret is that I have white and they soil very quickly but that is not the shoes fault

Comfortable

These flip flops are Amazing. I am a flip flop girl and I was crushed when my podiatrist told me that they were part of the reason I have plantar fasciitis. He then gave me a suggestion to try OOFOS. His symptoms improved the longer he wore them. I am a huge fan now. They give just the right amount of support and are very comfortable. It does take some time to get used to but it is worth it.

I loved it so much that I bought a pair for my daughter! Great if you need arch support and gives comfort to the bunion.

A friend recommended these flip flops for my planter fasciitis. I now use these as my indoor footwear instead of slippers. Amazing how my feet no longer hurt. So comfy. I normally wear a size 8 and these fit true to size. I have a narrow foot and so they look a bit wide on me but for indoors I’m ok with it. Would love even more if they made narrow ones.

The arch support initially felt too high and uncomfortable but after a day of wearing them, I got used to them and now I can't imagine wearing anything else.

These things are great because they really support your feet and are comfortable. Slightly smaller than expected but still fit well.
