Used to replace the switch on a snap on remote starter that students burn up every once in a while. Exact switch that fits in snap on body.

First one they sent did not work. They sent a replacement asap and it worked perfectly

Used it for momentary ignition switch.

Installation went fine. It's a simple device. It was unclear whether the hex nut was supposed to go on the front side or the back side of the panel I mounted it to. I put the nut on the outside so it would tighten to the switch behind the panel. The rubber tip screws off and is part of a round type nut. My guess is that you could leave it off if you did not need the button to be weatherproof. However, for those that want the switch to be weatherproof, you will need to install it. However, you cannot tighten it unless you use pliers that will bugger up the steel. Furthermore, there should be a gasket or seal so the weatherproof rubber steel part will seal to the body of the panel and not leak past the shaft. I used a garden hose seal to seal it.The button worked on my tractor as a glow plug switch because my model tractor does not turn on the glow plugs until you crank the engine over. That causes it to turn over a lot and sputter when it starts. This button allows me to heat the glow plugs before I crank the engine. It is working so far. I used a switch like this from an auto parts store last year and it didn't last a year before water corroded it. I hope this brand does better.

He said it was not as heavy duty as he expected it to be.

Did everything I could to try to diagnose a sporadic starting problem (random no crank, no start). Nothing I tried worked, and the truck would only refuse to start away from home when I was unable to fiddle with it. Soooo, I simply hooked up a direct start switch to the starter motor with the Fastronix Start Switch, bypassing the ignition switch, neutral safety switch, the computer, anti-theft system, and all the wiring. I still need the ignition key in the "on" position and the key with the antitheft chip in it for the engine to run, but with the push button switch I can crank the car whenever I want. It works great. Now I don't need to be worried about being stuck somewhere when the ignition switch isn't working. Just need to be careful I am not in gear when cranking :)

Seems to feel sturdy and push straight. I don’t recall in the description seeing that the terminal body rotated in the switch/spring body. Great design fits any old hole at any attitude allowing easiest wire run. THE BEST!
