Will it sharpen swords and spears?

Will sharpen anything, as long as you have enough room to move the blade across the belt. I have manged 11 inch blades but would happily have done bigger if needed.

If you watch a video for facts it is already a second hand experience. Non subjective. You can take it as a fact or not, your choice. Better of seeing the item first hand if possible. After all you wouldn't buy a car without checking it out yourself would you.

Can the direction of the belt be reversed/changed, according to which side of the blade is being ground?

Hello, you can change the knife to the other direction of the sharpener belt, so that both sides of the knife can be polished.
