Fast wire
Audiophiles know what fast wiring means. This wire jacket is thin... and flexible... might discourage you when you first see it because its light weight. But don't be deceived. Give it a try. It's better than monster wire. Delivers more bass and higher highs in my 4 speaker system. The bass and treble have much better contrast since giving it a try. Really smooth delivery too... crystal clear even for cd. Especially for vinyl.

For the price it works great. I tried running 12' wires to vintage 1970 ...
This may not be exactly 18 gauge so if you are doing high watts and long distance then you shouldn't be buying budget wire anyway. For the price it works great. I tried running 12' wires to vintage 1970 Acoustic Research speakers coming from an Onkyo receiver and I have a discerning ear. It is also exactly what I wanted to pay for another channel B remote speaker pair I got for 15$.The salesmen at a car audio place will tell you that you need a certain current capacity wire no matter what and you'll need to buy 120$ worth of monster cables. If you're running crazy system perhaps... but unlikely you'll need what people will try to sell you. At a chain store the salesman was telling me I need huge, huge wire for my subwoofers, going only 2-3' away. Then as he was showing me the connectors into the wall system and how huge they were the connector fell off and exposed they were fed by the skimpiest wire I've ever seen. The look on his face...I've upgraded my passat GLX with the from the factory "monsoon" or whatever system and the wire for that is way smaller than this. The way I look at is if it is much low in price and you are trying to get a german car for the price of a Korean car you are going to feel like you came up short. This is cheap but it works just fine if you aren't having a concert.

Simpliest but Impactive Upgrade
I been having my system for some time and everything sounded just fine. But wanted to redo some wires with this because I didn't feel as though the wires had enough slacc in them so was just going to rewire them. Just changing out the wires to this gave me so much more sound then I have before. Yes nothing else was changed just the wires. These simple and cheap upgrade could save you tons of money, just my giving your speakers a better and stronger signal. Definitely will be using this wire for my future projects. The only bad thing about the wire I can think of is that the plastic connection between the 2 lines is really strong so make sure you have some scissors to start the separation of them and you should be good from there.

with a added fix, cable works great!
I noticed the review of testing of this product was not very good, but due to the price (and my low budget) I took the risk, Found that after stripping the insulation from the wire, the bare wire had a "slick" feel to it, which didn't seem right, but what the heck you get what you pay for right? I tried it out, and was at first a bit disappointed with the results, then I heated the bare ends of the wire with a lighter, and sure enough, it bubbled, and wiped clean, leaving the feel I expected! Now I have a much better sounding system! I highly recommend that folks who purchase this manufacture product do the same, before usage, you will be happier with the end results, I also recommend that the cable be retested with the change I described above, and the higher quality results be published! As a result I give this product a 10 for its price point, and quality!A side note, I ordered a 100 ft spool, thinking I would have lots left over after my surround sound install (5.1) with the front and rear speakers spaced about 20 to 25 feet apart. I was wrong, leaving just a few inches more at the end of each cut length (during install) I discovered I had just enough to do the job! Lesson learned, order twice what you think you'll need, so when you finish your install the wires can be safely tucked out of site (with out the "little woman" bellyaching about it! lolĀ Pyramid RSW12100 12-Gauge 100-Foot Spool of High-Quality Speaker Zip Wire

Connect Correct
I've been buying the wrong wire for speakers for over 30 years. I was a novice dj as a teen and now I'm a proud owner of a home cinema. I recently upgraded my AVR (arguably the 1st piece one should buy when preparing for future upgrades to media players & projectors) and have some 6 ohm vintage speakers I wanted to add. Based on the placement, impedance, many videos and forums about the speaker, 12 AWG wire was the answer. As a precaution be aware that when installing in an area with warm lighting, the polarities can be a tad difficult to determine. The sheathing is thick so, PLEASE do yourself and your smile a favor--buy an inexpensive all in one wire stripper & cutter. DO NOT USE YOUR TEETH. I'm not writing from experience. I'm writing from the seat of logic. This is pure copper and true to size. I had my entire theater wired before my wife finished making breakfast.

Exactly as Promised
This wire is small for speaker use however it was perfect for use with 12 volt 2 watt LED's that I use for low voltage landscape lights.I use the wire as short flexible whips that were soldered to the LED lamps, heat shrink tubing applied and then placed in home made fixtures connected to the larger 14 gauge low voltage landscaping cable installed outdoors.

Disappointed
Ordered for a specific purpose and didn't expect high quality for that type of money. Was definitely disappointed when pulling out about 40 feet of wire, noticed a break in the wire that had been intentionally taped back together. Obviously from the manufacturer. Not cool. Reluctant to continue using. Bought some more wire else where. Don't waste your money on this product.
