This was a purchase based off of the seller photos. I was just hoping it was a good choice. I ordered this Urn to store my Father in laws ashes. As they were just in a plain glass jar. And he deserves more than that! So I took a look through Amazon and found this blue "in flight" urn. He was a pilot so this was perfect. And let me tell you it was perfect. It's just the right size for a desk top or fireplace shelf or in a curio cabinet. Not too big not too small roughly about 10in. tall by 7in. wide. Kinda a squat pot belly style. It will hold all of a full size adults ashes. It's very handsome looking, looks handmade and very well finished. It's surprisingly metal and quite heavy (about 2 or 3lbs). I feel like if I dropped it, it would not break or come apart. It has a large round mouth opening with a screw on lid. It's very easy to open and access the inside prior to Interment but once you screw the lid down it seems to lock in place almost, so you couldn't easily open it up, like say if a child or dog knocked it down or something. It is very secure once screwed down. The entire thing is covered in what seems like blue enamel or cloison type coating that is well done and not at all cheap or tacky looking. The blue and gold are vibrant and pleasing to the eye. And it's has a very stable base. My wife now has a beautiful and respectable place to keep her daddy.

This is a beautiful large urn with a well-fitting lid. My only issue is I ordered gray and got blue. Not a huge deal and not worth returning, but other people may be more particular. Wish they were labeled more reliably by the manufacturer or color verified at Amazon before shipping!

Never thought I’d have to buy this but it is absolutely stunning. Great packaging and arrived last minute, as I didn’t know I needed it as soon in this process.
