Q-Connect Fine Ballpoint Pen - Blue (Pack of 20)

I hadn’t heard of the brand before but I like fine pens so thought I’d try them out. I like them! Good value and long lasting! I bought them months ago and only on the second one so far & that’s only because the first one broke in my holster pocket when I leaned over a desk. As I write this I am waiting on a box of black pens from Amazon, they were on a deal so couldn’t resist.

Lovely writing pens

I’ve included a video that shows the blob of plastic near the nib that prevents the metal casing to sit tightly, meaning it looks a a bit wonky. This is true for 2 of the pens I’ve looked at, and I bought a box of 20. A quick glance at the rest and they all look fine. The writing is lovely, I do love a fine biro…just do much neater somehow. The grip is comfortable, and I haven’t had them for over 2 months yet, so I’m still on the first pen, so they seem to last well

I ordered these pens to compare with my normal Bic fine black ballpoint pens. Initially, they seemed to have a somewhat scratchy feel but I've got used to them in time and have grown to like them a lot. It mentions 0.4 as the size, which I assume is 0.4mm tip, compared with 0.8mm for Bic....good for very fine writing and figurework. Careful with the screw-off cap at the top of the pen, which enables a refill (if there are spares). It can come loose and allow the nib to retract inside the shaft of the pen, which happened once to me; keep it tightly done up. What I do like, is that they have an extra metal ring above the nib, which should strengthen the pen and prevent the plastic breaking around the nib area. This often happens on other pens I've used. I then have to put sticky tape around the base of the pen, which doesn't look or feel good. These pens also have ribbing on the plastic shaft to help with gripping the pen...a nice touch. At first I didn't like the pens but now I feel very positive about them.

They're quite scratchy but are handy to have in a bag. Wouldn't use them for anything that needed really neat handwriting but good for a crossword etc

Lightweight pen, fine ballpoint suits my style of writing.
