Does a pretty good job so far
Works really good for cleaning up small engine parts and bolts but works even better with play sand After a few months of owning the Shaker and putting it through a lot of use the only problem I've had is the wing nut stripped out it was an easy fix I went to Lowe's and got to 6 X 100 thread nuts and did them as a jam nut problem solved

Terrible product. Shook itself to death
This tumbler has been nothing but a gigantic headache, since day 1. I carefully read the instructuons, and even looked up several youtube videos on the propper use, but none of that mattered. The wing nut and washers they give you to secure the lid, those will loosen, until they work themselves off the machine entirley (as quickly as 1 hr into using it), allowing the tumber to throw grit and slurry a good 10 ft away, in all directions. This happened 4 times befor i went to a hardware store and actually bought locking nuts, because god forbid they provide fasteners that are 10 cents more expensive. I had to place 3 locking nut on, befor they stopped working themselves off. The vibration is so much so, that it actually disintigrates the platic potrion of the nuts in a day or so. This brings me to my last point. The rubber stopper they give u, to raise the metal washers off the lid, that disintigrated too. This allowed the washers to rub aginst the actual plastic of the lid, and it wore a 2inch hole in the lid, rendering the unit unusable now. Note, the machine only ran on and off for a total of 4 days (96hrs). Thats not even enough time to finish a single load. Now Im stuck with 3lbs of half way polished gemstones, and a 80$ piece of garbage. Find a different brand, ull thank urself later

It works great on small items.
We use this to polish small rocks. We did leave the cover too loose once and oh boy, what a mess. Slurry everywhere. After a few minor adjustments and an added nut and rubber washer, it can be left on all night without fear of cover coming off. Get ready for some noise though.

!WARNING! **UPDATED
EDIT: Company contacted me and offered a new unit. I am using the tumbler to clean 3/4" wide pieces of 1x1 angle. If this new tumbler lives I will adjust my review accordingly. UPDATE - I adjusted from a single star to 4, but if it wasn't for the initial issue I would have given it 5 based on cost and the fact it does what I need. I have been much harder on this one than the first. I have ran it for over 18 hours straight several days in a row, it still worked the next day. I use it regularly, practically daily minus weekends. So far it has not locked up. I have it on a piece of shipping foam, with a taped together foam box as a lid... this reduces the noise volume some but it is noisy. But I think that is expected when metal and ceramic pieces are bouncing around inside a plastic bowl. TOTAL GARBAGE! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! worked for about 20 to 30 hours of actual "on" time. After having it less than 3 months I went to turn it on and it just hummed as if the motor was trying but couldn't spin. Believing it was my fault I took the plate off the bottom and saw the weight used to create the vibration. If I turned it on and manually spun the weight it would start up. Fast forward 30 days!... NOW NOTHING! After giving it many "technical taps" it is now in 50+ pieces on my garage floor, but at least I got my 95 bucks worth by taking out my frustration on it ;)

You will need a padded room
I tumble stones for a hobby and have wanted a vibe for some time. Right now they are hard to come by so when this showed up on sale I thought what the heck. SO I went into this knowing that I fully voided my warranty and they it was NOT designed for rocks. It has a decent motor and easily handled the 7 pound of rock I put in. It did a great job in completing the med stage in about 24 hours. Nothing broke on it and nothing worse out. SO far it is a pretty decent machine- HOWEVER- It is so noisy you cannot be in the same room with it. I run 5 rotary tumblers in a basement room and cannot hear them when I'm outside that room. This thing was noticable upstairs in the room above the rock shop. It was deafing in the room, and very annoying outside the room. OK I was fine with that- I will only run it when no one is around. THe barrel is a real pain to clean out as it has all these ridges and creases. It also take a few minutes just to remove all the hardware securing it down. The hardware is of questionable quality and will most likely need replacing in the short term. I am going to save this machine for polishing only as it is not worth cleaning it out for each stage (I won't clean it out for the polish stage, just scoop out the rocks and reuse the polish that remains in it). If you're looking to get this as a "cheap" way into the world of vibe tumbling- well look elsewhere as this is not the unit for you. If you want an occasional metal cleaner I think this would work well enough. Update- The company reached out to me and offered me their "professional" rock tumbler. I said sure why not. They sent a 2 barrel rotary harbor freight knock off. I have run these in the past and they work for a while, Once the belts start breaking and the motor pulleys wear out getting replacement parts can be a pain and expensive. Kudos for there effort. I tried the vibe with polish, and what a mess. The lid came off and made a mess. There is no real way to tighten down the lid adequately so I have given up using this.

Strong unit
This unit is pretty powerful, you must be absolutely sure that the top wing nut is fully tightened or it will vibrate it off, chuck the fender washer and rubber pad five feet away, wear the central hole of the lid to over half again it’s size and then chuck that thing half the length of your garage. Once again I cannot stress enough the need to make sure the top wing nut is on very tight.

Poor design, lots of noise and minimal polishing and cleaning was accomplished.
