Nice Tuners
Arrived quick. Easy install, had to drill screw holes in headstock but I knew that when I ordered. These were the best priced locking tuners I could find with a brand name that I trust. These tuners say made in Korea on the packaging, which was a good suprize since I believe the write up says made in China. Seems to be good quality product, good fit and finish. Lock mechanism worked flawlessly. Also installed a Graf tech nut,, time will tell if this helps with tuning stability. Very happy with the product so far.

Ugly but highly functional
For the cost, these were perfect. Used them on an Epiphone Jr, which required reaming the 8mm holes to 9mm (used "Great Planes Precision Metric Shaft Propeller Reamer", available via Amazon). Mounting screw holes did not match; new holes had to be drilled (1 per tuner), leaving 1 unfilled hole exposed per tuner on the backside of the head.I wanted to spend as little as possible to have functional locking tuners that would not go out of tune. So far, these tuners met the requirements exactly.

Why are we buying grovers?
When I got my first set, one of the locking mechanisms was stuck in place. I figured out that I needed to twist the rod with pliers and everything worked well. (After I took the whole tuner apart needlessly) Great ratio, steady change in pitch with knob turns. Seem to keep everything in tune nicely. They are shorter than my original gretsch tuners, but it gives the guitar a super sleek look.Had a beautiful moment of salvaging a broken g string off another guitar after ripping it's cracked bridge apart in a frenzy. It was just long enough to get into the peg and lock it down. I held my breath as it approached tune, but it held up. That's the moment I really fell in love with these tuners despite the little hiccup at the beginning. I am definitely putting them on more guitars in the future

Guitar stays in tune!
I like these a lot. Sturdy. Sharp. Would be 5 stars if they weren't missing a washer in my package. The box was beat up and one washer must have slipped out before it went into the box because the amazon box was sealed up. I used a washer from my old set and it worked out just fine.

Breaking strings with these tuners? Here's a fix
First of all, I rarely write product reviews but I felt this was extremely important to staive off frustrations regarding string breakage while using these tuners. I broke 3 high E strings in a row while bringing the strings up to tune after installation (9 gauge Elixer's that' are crazy expensive). I'm a retired QC mgr. with years of experience in proper machining practices making and inspecting close tolerance metal parts. After finding the cause of my problem, I felt compelled to share this easy work-around with you all.**This first step is "πΎπππΎππΌπ" to perform before you install these tuners. Inspect ALL of the string post through holes (along w/ the internal locking saddle) for πΌππ π¨πππ§π₯ πππππ¨ π€π§ ππͺπ§π§π¨ ππππ€π§π π§ππ¨π©π§ππ£πππ£π. If you happen to notice this problem with your tuner string holes, here's a fix that can be done easily using either of the following tools:#1) A round small diameter needle or a rat-tail file. OR#2) A small diameter abrasive cord, rope, or crocus.(Both of these are inexpensive & can easily be purchased through Amazon by Mitchell Abrasive Co. or other.)Carefully use a file to smooth the burrs down. If your using the abrasive cord, feed it through the string holes, deburring any sharp edges found on the larger outter hole along with the inner locking saddle (using a magnifying glass will help with this).Wilkinson's machining process & more importantly, their QC Inspection dept. shouldβve caught these parts that had burrs, flagging them for rework "ππ²π³πΌπΏπ²" sending them out to their platers. These are great tuners for their price point & sometimes, these things happen. But once you're fix is done, you'll like their performance as I do. I hope this info & fix were helpful to you. If you do this, I gaurantee, you'll save $$ in string sets, time & most importantly, your SANITY!!**Oh yeah, it'll also keep you from pulling out what little hair you have left on your head. Peace...**

Top Quality
Very happy with my purchase of these, and I love the built in string cutting feature, but make sure you know how to use them before you install the strings or youβll have to buy new strings like I did π
