Good quality and fulfilling my requirement

This is an excellent item for the price. However, I'm not sure you can guarantee a lag free experience if you are looking to use for this for gaming. With my Google Pixel 4a 5g, there was an appreciable lag between what was on the phone screen and the TV that I was using. On my Amazon Fire 10HD, it was even worse. On the pixel, video worked well. On the fire tablet, there was syncing issues between audio and video.I have seen a video on youtube where this is being used with a Poco F1 phone and there appears to be no (or very little) lag indeed, so it may be device dependent.Can't really go wrong for the price (unless your only reason for buying is gaming).

I've decided to buy this one after I saw the review of thin on etaprime youtube channel. I recommend you to watch his review.Anyway, this adds HDMI out capabilities to phones that do not have it (HDMI over USB-c or MHL). Samsung Galaxy flagships have this feature, and I guess some Huawei flagships. It does this by using android wireless casting feature over USB. It is much more reliable than wireless casting and has much less lag making it good for gaming. For the audio, it uses bluetooth. It also shows up bluetooth audio device which you connect your phone to. After that video and audio is synced. Both casting over USB and bluetooth audio is a workaround (a smart one in my opinion) for less capable devices. So don't expect the same performance to HDMI out of Samsung Galaxy 10. But this is the best next thing.I have setup my old phone as retro emulator using a bluetooth controller. Now I can enjoy my chilhood games on big screen without a dedicated PC.

Didn't work at all, required an app to get it to work which it did momentarily before shutting down. Repeatedly. The app is useless, mirrored my screen but refused to play any video ... Which was the whole purpose. After i tried the troubleshooting steps, some YouTube vids, and reading through people's comments and reviews i decided to return it.Then I discovered that in allowing the Bluetooth connection and downloading the app it had seemingly changed a bunch of settings on my phone: meant that my Bluetooth pairing for my headphones and speaker stopped working, with no warning and weird bugs kept happening, slow charging etc. Did a full scan and restart and it seems to be back to normal but at no point did this allow me to play media through the hdmi cable. Do not buy this product it does not work.

So, picture quality is perfect (no compression artefacts) and the audio over bluetooth works perfectly too, however...... the app linked through the QR code that appears over HDMI doesn't work with this device, instead you are directed to a second app in the Play store. This second app tries to "phone home" as soon as it is started (blocked by my firewall) and the bluetooth connection wants all of your contacts (I refused it those and it still works).It will work brilliantly for getting my tomtom app up on the hdmi input of my car's headunit, but be very careful with the permissions when setting this up, is all I can say. Hence 3 stars. It would get 5 for the excellent picture and audio quality if it wasn't for the app getting up to (sadly, all too expected) tricks...

Works brilliantly, highly recommended for wired screen mirroring.

I bought it after I saw a YouTube review from ETA Prime. I've got a few devices that don't have video out and was surprised something like this exists. I've tested it on my Nexus 6p, Moto g5, Nexus 7 and they are great. Really easy to set up. On plugging it in it shows you what to do and was easy for me. I'm happilly playing my emulators on the large screen in 1080p from my phone. The audio goes over Bluetooth to the TV via the dongle which is great. But you can even just send the video and send the audio to a different audio device like an an ecco dot and the like. I'm well impressed for the price!

Bought it to watch downloads or live stream prime and Netflix while away in motorhome and with no Wi-Fi.However, Prime and Netflix (and even All4) have disabled projection to another device. So they won't work.And since BBC Iplayer downloads are iffy at the best of times (a problem BBC has owned up to) I am left with YouTube or Iplayer live.So it does work, (after you've downloaded the app) but it depends what you want it for.
