I've bought this for dressmaking (initially a panelled maxi skirt) and the weight is perfect for the autumn/winter months. It would, though, hang well as curtain or cushion fabric too I think.

Disappointed and the sheen on this velvet and the depth in the pile is nothing like the picture shiwn. Glad I got the swatch
