I just received the hat today via amazingly fast Amazon PRIME and REALLY LIKE it. Note that I had asked a few questions of others on the site about the hat and got some great and fast responses which are appreciated. The Amazon community really has some good people helping everybody make good buying choices. The whole Amazon feedback and review section is phenomenal!Anyway, this hat has a good solid design, good material, not flimsy, stitching looks pretty tight. After trying a number of loser competitor hats this one is a keeper. As it looks in the pictures, the bill is more of an elongated baseball cap style bill and not the super wide "women's bonnet" style brim which I personally can't stand. Might be fine for women but I personally think it really looks goofy and feminine on a guy. That's just my opinion! Don't hate me for saying it! The back flap is actually surprisingly long - it really covers the back of the neck and extends much further down the back than expected - but it is symmetrical and unobtrusive and I can deal with the longer than expected length. Unless you are a giraffe you will never experience "red neck syndrome" with this hat! The little zipper built into the back flap is a nice convenient feature and I could see putting a key or money or credit card in there without it affecting the comfort of the hat and without being obtrusive or even noticeable. I was concerned that this zipper feature may end up being a hassle to deal with but it is not at all. I tested it briefly with money, key, credit cards and it works! Barely notice the slightly added weight and can't feel it at all.One slightly negative feature ... which is also on balance a positive ... is the "anchor cord" with clip where you can clip the hat to your collar to hold the hat down in windy weather. This is a great feature to keep from losing hats on bridges, boats, balconies, convertible cars, gusts, hurricanes, typhoons, tornados, etc.... and I will use it at times - however the weight of the clip is too heavy! - it could have been fashioned perhaps with a lighter plastic (?) but I'm not a hat design engineer; maybe it needs to be heavier to function fully. One result of that cord: I've found that if I grab the hat and quickly toss it on my head, then micro-seconds later the heavy clip will follow the momentum and swing around zap me in the back of the neck ... so watch out for dangerous anchor cords when you "mount" the hat - you might get a serious back wound or injure a friend or family member standing close by! (haha just kidding, not that big of a thing but rather a minor annoyance - I'll eventually train myself to put on the hat with the cord in mind.)I might mention that I bought the "beige" color hat for $19.95 or something and I see that the navy blue version is priced at $24.95 - same model but different color. (this are Amazon Prime prices). I hate pricing differential for two different colors of the same item both available on Amazon Prime. Somehow that seems unfair - especially when Adams sells them both at same price on the Amazon site. I do see on the Amazon site that if one buys directly from Adams through Amazon (shipping fulfilled by Adams) the price for TWO hats with shipping is about $32! versus $45 via Amazon Prime. I really like the Adams hat I got via Prime and am probably getting the Navy color also. I hope Amazon will credit me for the $13 difference if I just buy a second hat directly via Prime. Amazon is very fair and unbelievably and refreshingly customer-centric - the trick is communicating this pricing issue to them during the order! We shall see. Anyway, in conclusion, I'm impressed with the hat and as I said am close to getting another one.

I live, work and play at the beach. Sometimes I'm out in the sun all day. I needed something more than a baseball cap to protect myself from the sun's UV rays and also from the heat. This Adam's hat is the perfect answer. The apron is big enough without getting in the way. It covers my ears and neck perfectly. There's a drawstring inside with a spring loaded adjuster that allows me to adjust the cap comfortably to my head. This is especially useful when it's really windy. There's also a string off the back with a rustproof clip that you can attach to the collar of your shirt, jacket or wetsuit to keep the hat from blowing away. And there's a small zipper pocket inside big enough to hold a few small items such as a driver's license, fishing license, bank card or a little cash. On very hot days, I'll saturate the entire hat in water. The evaporative effect provides instant relief from the heat. I chose khaki because it's a cool, neutral color and it doesn't show dirt. This hat is extremely well made. The material is a lightweight blend that seems tough enough to provide years of service. I am very happy with my purchase. This hat is everything I could ask for in terms of form, fit and function. It is a very well thought out design. I would definitely buy this hat again. If you spend as much time outdoors as I do, this hat offers the best sun protection for the money. Sunscreen is great, but even the waterproof kind will wash off after about an hour. Skin cancer is nothing to mess with. Check out this hat made by Adams. I think you'll find this to be one of your best purchases!

We just came back from a 7 day trip from Disney World, and these were a life saver. They are very good quality. I have hand washed them 3 times in the past two weeks, and then let them hang dry to get all of the excess sweat out of them. I don't see them falling apart in any areas from the washing. I really liked the feature of the clip that you use so that the hat will not blow away. I used it several times just to hang the hat from my collar while I went into a store and did not want to wear it while looking around. It is very good at protecting your neck from the sun, and also your ears. At the back of the hat you can easily adjust the size with a pull of a string. It was very comfortable, and I highly recommend when you are trying to limit your exposure to the sun.

Finally found a hat that's a PERFECT fit for my abnormally large head. My hat size is a 8 1/5 and this is the first hat I've worn that without any adjustments fits me perfectly.I love the material and the style is great sun protection while long hikes. This is a steal for 10 bucks. Next I gotta check out the other Adams hat which has larger flaps and a round visor that goes around the too(unlike a baseball cap), more protection from the sun!Update: Been wearing this badboy for about 8 months consistently. About 3-4 days a week around 3 hours at a time. Washed it twice and shrunk a little but i stretched it. Makes me look dorky but i dont carex i love it, the ladies love it! (Most..fine some). Thinking about buying another one but I wanna try the other desgin from Adams

Bought this replacement after six years because the fabric finally wore through on the edge of the brim. Great hat. Got it originally because I was flying kites a lot. the longer hat brim helped shade my eyes better. and the drape protected my neck. If the wind picked up I could clip the hat to my shirt using the lead.FYI the hat brim is a polypropylene plastic (like a milk jug) and heavy duty. Though I would not recommend throwing the hat in a hot dryer. After six years it was beginning to show sweat stains.

This hat is a life saver! I'm a mail carrier and when I'm out in the sun for hours on end there is nothing better to protect your head, neck, and even your ears. It actually does a good job of using your sweat to keep you cool too! I am going to to buy one for my wife as she works outdoors too. BTW I did NOT receive this for free or discounted in exchange for a fair and unbiased review.
