We got this thanks to virtual school. My 7yo sitting on an ottoman at our coffee table was becoming really impractical for a LOT of reasons, so we bought this hoping to solve a number of problems, and it has been a hit with the entire family. My 7yo is thrilled because when the table lid is open she can sit on the comfy couch to do her virtual school instead of on an ottoman with her legs barely fitting under the coffee table; my 13yo is thrilled because he can sit on the couch with dinner or snacks without having to lean way over or be practically squatting at our old coffee table; I'm thrilled that my 7yo's school stuff can be nicely put away inside of the table storage rather than constantly hanging out on top of the table; I like that it creates a makeshift "desk" in the living room for anyone to use (I've played Minecraft at it); my husband is happy that having storage means reducing clutter. This is definitely a win. The only thing I would note is that you definitely want an adult/not a small child to open the lid with two hands, and that you want to close it with two hands by pulling the lid toward you rather than pushing it away from you. None of this is a big deal at all. We've been nothing but thrilled with this table since we put it together.Assembly wasn't even that bad. The only tricky part was adding the springs; we had to ask our 13yo to come be an extra pair of hands to hold the lid up while screwing the springs inside. Beyond that, the directions were fairly easy to follow, though to be fair we do have some furniture building experience. Probably not novice-level.

The table seemed like it would be difficult to self-assemble, but it actually wasn't at all. It's a beautiful, sleek black, and the storage compartments are perfect for remote controllers and all the random stuff a coffee table tends to get junked up with. Sturdy, pretty lightweight, and the springs are super durable

Package was shipped w/ 4 legs of the same type instead of 2 legs of each type. This discrepancy prevented me from completing the assembly of the product.

I love it! When virtual school was announced it was very hard to find desk and pretty expensive to get two desk for each of my sons so this came in handy! They use the storage space as there lockers, lol! Worth every penny!

Direction are easy to follow just wasn’t paying attention when assembling the final portion, I had it backwards but easy fix. Overall we love it and it’s amazing.
