does this price include the motor and does the motor come off the lift?

The motor is included and is encased in the top of the lift. It could be removed, but not easily.

The lift comes with installation instructions, connects to a hitch and has a separate power cable must be run from the battery to the hitch. I hope this helps.

not completely happy with the purchase

The product works properly, but the installation guide is limited and confusing. Make sure to research the product by item number, instead of taking the reading the description on Amazon. The description and photo of the device I purchased and not what I received and after multiple emails and calls this issue was resolved.
