Albinar 2 in 1 4" Hand Pistol Grip Mini Tripod for Digital Cameras and Camcorders

If you're using a GoPro or other small, light camera and handholding it, you want this gadget. Particularly, if you have larger hands,the handgrip is very comfortable. The extended platform provides excellent eye relief for LCD screens, allowing you to hold the camera away comfortably from your face. This permits pretty smooth follow-action panning for video. Legs fold out from the handle body, forming a surprisingly firm tripod. The camera platform has click stops and can be adjusted over a 60 -90 degree range. There is a 1/4-20 female socket on the bottom of the platform adjustment knob allowing for mounting the unit on a monopod, which can give you extraordinary control when photographing performances or events. This is a very nice feature. You can fold out two legs from the handle, forming a sturdy table-top tripod which, obviously, be used to position the unit on the top of rocks, garbage cans, some fence posts and other supports, providing more versatility. You want to be careful when doing this, of course, since cameras falling to the ground are not a pleasant sight. Build quality is okay, but I definitely wouldn't subject this unit to rough handling. My only complaint is the lack of a hole or slots for mounting a lanyard. Overall, a nice addition to my camera bag, especially for doing video with a light camera.Jerry

Well I bought this mainly for my gopro, but you can mount almost any camera. I had used the gopole grenade grip for my last gopro which i really liked but when i wanted to take a pic with me in it i had to unscrew it and attach it to my tripod and it was just a bit time consuming. So when i saw this i had to have it. I also bought the newest tripod gopro mount set which comes with the regular tripod mount and a quick release buckle which i use for this tripod. Very easy to configure in both monopod to tripod and vice versa. Only real gripe i have is the pistol grip posture because it feels heavier when aiming and a bit more cumbersome. I have seen one that resembles a regular monopod but im happy with this one. The media could not be loaded.  so, there are those simple short tripods with flex legs, and they work fine. this one is better. the mount for the camera is well made and it rotates and locks in place. the pistol grip works well so being able to have a pistol grip and tripod is the real benefit of this thing. also the tripod is very secure, i have had those flex tripods bend and shift while filming, this won't do that. the only bummer is the strong chemical smell. there is some off gassing that does stink for a week or more after opening the packaging. that costs 1 star.

I took it on a Savage Race to document my obstacles, and it snapped off of the camera by the mount breaking off of the pistol grip. It is a shame, because that was only 4 obstacles in the race, and my camera floated to the bottom of the lake. note to self, also buy a floatie for the olympus tough.Besides this incident the pistol grip to tripod functionality is excellent. If you dont plan on doing 6 mile 25 obstacle courses, I think you will be just fine.

It's great for what it's for! I accidentally ordered two of these and didn't return one (too lazy haha). The only bad thing about this product is that the angles that it tilts aren't the best. DON'T GET ME WRONG, it works awesome but sometimes i have to put a magazine under it to get the perfect upward angle when i set it on the ground. If there were more angles, it'd be a 6/5 stars!

I'm loving this thing; It's great for stop motion animation due to it's short height and stable legs. I only wish the plastic were a little stronger feeling, and that the rubber "feet" had a little more friction to keep a shot from sliding while taking pictures.

Not much to say about this yet because I have only used it once. It should work good on a table or the hood of your car or some other flat place. Seems to be well enough made to last a while.

Light, cheap, reasonably functionalWill be using this for travel with several 'action' cams. I don't think I'll use it as a handgrip for my Contour RoamHD, (black) think it will look too much like a gun at a distance.
