Easy to use
Great product. So easy to use, as long as your form is good. Mine had a pinhole and the silicone showed me where it was. Also, I recommend tinting the silicone a color you don't typically use to make it easier to see when you fill it, speaking from the perspective of someone using resin. So far I haven't had a problem with molds that I have added pigment to.

Awesome product but small size, less than advertised for mine
This was a great product for a newbie but as the other reviews say it's really small containers and mine can less than advertised. It's supposed to be more than 10 oz but mine was only 8 😕. Although it was easy to work with and the product was great this was just not enough to complete my project. I would not buy this again just because of the size.

Perfect for molds to reproduce classic car rubber parts
I needed to make a few small molds to reproduce some NLA rubber gaskets and grommets for a classic car restoration. After reviewing some of the products available I decided on this silicone mold making kit because it a) contained the most silicone material for the price and b) included everything you need like gloves, measuring cups, even some stirring sticks. For my first mold, I mixed equal parts of the A and B components and let cure overnight (about 15 hours). The mold came out great; no bubbles or imperfections at all. For the mold of a second part, I again used the 1:1 ratio but tried to speed up the curing process by placing the mold mixture outside in direct sunlight. Not a good idea: while it cured within 2 hours, all the bubbles were still left inside the material! I repeated the mold making for that part by curing it at room temperature, and voila, a perfect mold again. Since then, I made molds for six additional parts this way, and each mold came out flawlessly. In order to cast the replica parts, I used 60A urethane casting compound. There were no issues releasing the cast parts from the molds, no release agent was necessary. I made at least 10 parts from each mold without noticeable degradation of quality.

Quality is hit or miss.
First set I got set up nicely, perfect reproduction of the original object. Second set skins over but never sets. Would not recommend.

Great!! But short working time
Easy to use like advertised, decided to use this instead of a rubber molding to see if it works better, and so far it does, I was not expecting the short working time for it though, it starts setting within 10 minutes of being mixed properly so make sure you have what your molding ready to go. As others mentioned also it comes in smaller bottles then expected but it was fast shipping!

You can use it to fix defects in your existing molds
I had a 7 inch disc shaped silicone mold that had some surface scratches and abrasions, which of course transferred to any epoxy resin pieces cast with the mold. So I mixed up a batch of this silicone, poured just enough to cover the bottom of the mold, covered it and let it cure. The new bottom surface was not only free of defects, but glossier than the original surface. The silicone sticks fairly well to the existing mold but doesn't permanently bond to it, so it's basically an insert - if the surface gets marred you can pull it up in one piece and re-do the process!
