Description

Thyme is the dried leaf of Thymus vulgaris, a shrub in the mint family. The grayish-green leaves are tiny in size and have a distinctively pleasant, aromatic and pungent flavor. Thyme is most often used in fish, sausages, meats, poultry, fresh tomatoes and breads. Use half a teaspoon of {GROUND} Thyme in recipes that call for a "sprig of thyme".
