My 9 year old son decided to use his birthday money to buy a skateboard. He has never stepped a foot on a skateboard before, but has ridden scooters around. After carefully reading reviews and finding one that met his design/look criteria, we ordered this one. I'll admit I don't know a LOT about skateboarding, but this seems to be well-built. It's fairly stable, and my son was able to ride it fairly well right away. He figured out how to make it turn, and it seems to be well-balanced. Even my 6 year old daughter was able to pick up on it pretty quickly. They are still learning, but this definitely feels like a solid skateboard, is not super loud, does not bounce around a lot. It's a pretty smooth ride. It's also very nice that it came with a repair kit so that we have additional parts and tools when needed. It's also fairly reasonably priced!

I gifted the Scientoy skateboard as a gift to my kid 3 weeks ago and gave a couple of tips on how to position her feet and how to kick. As it states in the description this skate board is safe for kids and beginners. Wheels are wider than the ones on my skate board. Hence, the ride is very smooth and stable. She feels safer on this skate board than the smaller one that I got for her. With all said and done, wider wheels makes it a good skate board for kids and beginners. My skate board with narrower wheels could make sharper turn but beginners need stability and smooth ride. This skate board does not make a loud sound of bearings like mine does. This skate board has taken a few bumps and hard hits. But never once it failed us. Overall, my daughter feels safer and gave a thumbs up immediately after she stepped on it. Can't wait for the Ollies and other tricks to follow with this skate board!

This skateboard is great for its price. It looks very nice, and feels high quality. I’m learning how to ride on it, and it rides very smoothly. I also like that it came with a repair/tool kit, so overall it’s 10/10 for me, would recommend.

It was easy to use my 9 year son for the first time using one he was boarding within 10 minutes . ItHas all the makings of a beginnerSkateboarding that can be use, I was surprise how sturdy it waysAnd how sheerness and lovely it isAlso my 5 yrs old granddaughterIs now trying it my have to bye one for her next .my older son 21 been skateboarding 12 yrs was also surprised at the cost for a good board he has pay over $85.00 + dollars for skateboards I highly recommended it

This is a nice beginner board. It came well packaged. My son loves the graphics on the bottom, and the grip tape on the top is very grippy.The bearings aren't top quality, but they spin freely once the wheel nuts are adjusted. I added a little oil to each bearing and they seem to be getting smoother and quieter as the wear in.The trucks are metal and seem to be decent quality, with urethane bushings. I had two small additions to make them work better: First, I had to add truck risers (spacers) so that the wheels didn't contact the board when making sharp turns. They are cheap and I recommend you add them to your cart when buying the board. Second, the washers above the urethane bushings are thin and deform if you try to tighten the trucks too much. I added a flat washer on top of each bushing washer and put the nut back on, and then I was able to tighten the trucks enough that they didn't turn too easily.Overall, it's a really nice board for the money, and with the two small modifications I made, the board skates really well!! Definitely a good alternative to $100 boards.

Bought this skateboard for my daughter because she wanted to learn to board, and i was skeptical because of the price. This board is decent though! Its sturdy enough that I even was able to show her how to do tricks and the board held up to my weight. The trucks and wheels are sturdy and they are great with adjustments, the layered board is light enough, grip tape is quality, just rub that wax on the bottom of the board and your good to go.

Excellent skate board. Both my kids love the nice smooth ride they get on this skate board. Couple of things to keep in mind. Loosening the bolt that holds truck to the deck will allow you to lean too much on one side for sharp turns. But this could result in baseplate to break. Also, leaning too much on the deck causes wheels to rub against the desk and skateboard will come to a halt suddenly and throw you off the deck. Keep couple of these pointers in mind when you skateboard.

Purchased this board at the behest of my 5-year-old grandson. He actually chose the board he wanted. (It HAD to be blue!) He is absolutely delighted, as are his grandfather and I; his parents, not so much....accidents inevitable in their minds! My 9-year-old, skateboard-experienced granddaughter demonstrated the board to the grandson and how to do simple maneuvers without any possibility of accidents. She is a great skateboarder!! She loved the board, especially the non-skid surface and wide foot bed. Pray that the 5-year-old doesn't get hurt, because his parents will be angry with me for the gift!! I suggested he hang it on his wall until he gets a little more "coordinated."
