First thing you need to do is GET THE RIGHT SIZED MODEL! I repeat, order the RIGHT sized model. My wife has a size 9 women. The correct model is the 9-13 one, otherwise the front wooden "foot" will not fit properly. Don't try to skimp out and get the smaller one.The "Foot" comes with several plastic removable bunion and spot stretch buttons that would accommodate specific issues if needed on your feet. Also, being a wood "Foot" you could drill a new spot to mount the bunion buttons for a customized fit.Although specifically meant to stretch leather shoes, man-made material can be stretched too. I my case, I made up a solution of 1:3 alcohol/water and sprayed it on the shoe while stretching, leaving it to dry for 24 hours in position.The result was very satisfactory after 2 sessions.In short this device would actually work well if you use it judiciously WITH the spray. Wife is very happy.Need I say more?

THIRD ONE I'VE TRIED. ONE WAS FOR SHOES. NOT COWBOY BOOTS. THE SEDOND WAS A PLASTIC PIECE OF JUNK THAT TOOK ME OVER A DAY TO GET OUT OF MY BOOT. THIS ONE ARRIVED TODAY. IT'S THE FIRST ONE THAT LOOKS LIKE IT WAS PROFESSIONALLY BUILT. HOPEFULLY IT WORKS.

Not anything fancy, but a shoe stretcher doesn’t have to be glamorous. My issues were that the stretcher didn’t open wide enough to effectively stretch the toe box on my shoe and that the accessories to stretch certain parts of the shoe are small to be of much use. Sorry, folks, I was disappointed with this purchase.Maybe it would work for others, but if you have bunions or tailor’s bunions, this will not be of any help.

Didn’t expect the best quality but they are wood and definitely get the job done. I do wish they included something for the front because when you open them to spread the side the front part becomes 2 points and only pushes there instead of complete nose of shoe. For the money not bad and quality is 8/10 Will buy a couple more as they do the job!
