Excellent DVD
I'd already seen this film years ago and still loved it just as much after recently purchasing it. John Ritter was such a gifted physical comedian who really made me laugh and Blake Edwards got a wonderful performance from him as a middle-aged Peter Pan. Otherwise, my only concern was the shipper's packaging: It was a thin, water-resistant envelope without any cushioning to protect it and I felt lucky it wasn't damaged in the shipping process. For future orders I would request better insulated (bubble envelope) packaging. All in all, would order from this vendor again.

One of the funnest and most endearing of films of all time
I am not the world's most knowledgable of film buffs. I own a couple hundred DVD's but most of those are lesser known films. I am particularly disinterested in most of the popular action or shock humor type of films that dominate the movie landscape of today.I remember the previews of this movie as discussed in newspapers and morning news shows due to the then shocking "glows in the dark" scene and that the beloved John Ritter was starring in the lead role.Several years later did I come across this movie and was immediately hooked. The movie is a wonderfully insightful story of a writer whose insecurities overcome his previously displayed writing prowess. The tragedy of writers block is overcompensated by alcohol and sex, which nearly destroys the very endearing character as played brilliantly by John Ritter. The movie is heart-warming yet hillarious. The twists and turns play out in a very well-paced and (mostly) logical format resulting in the climactic (pun intended) collapse of the lead that results in the search of self which ends in a sweet and still funny happy ending.Bravo to John Ritter for a movie that could not have been made with any other actor playing the lead. His combination of sincerity, naivete, sexuality and charm could only be matched by Michael J. Fox, yet such an actor would never have the sex appeal as Mr. Ritter. Anyone seeking an extension of THREES COMPANY would be sorely disappointed (in my opinion) as the acting is vastly more mature and sophisticated than at any time in the popular comedy show. John Ritter seems truly lost in his lack of introspection and his genuine effort to find his meaning of life.Truly a magical movie that deserves far more credit and recognition within the pantheon of great movies. This movie is much deeper than its skin... I cannot recommend more highly.John

I was only 14 when this was in theaters,
and remember it was considered risque and pornographic. As an adult who watched it at the age of 47, I don't see the big deal and it was considered so risque. Perhaps it was because John Ritter was playing a man who was more flawed than Jack Tripper? Maybe it was the fact it was rated higher than earlier 1980s TV and Ritter was cussing (mocking gasp)? At any rate, it was a decent film, but nothing special.

Oh Raye Hollitt!
An evening's worth of entertainment. Not top-notch Blake Edwads fare but a good entry into his legacy. It was a good dramedy that started out as a farce and turned into a morality tale about obsession. The one surprise was female body builder Raye Hollitt - a gem from that era. Besides her wonderful body of muscles, she has a great smile and put on a commendable piece of acting.I didn't love this film but I did like it a lot and it "Zapped" me with a new found love for female muscle when it's done right.

John Ritter at his best (RIP)
Watched this movie donkey years ago and thought it was great. Came across it and had to get it even though it was a bit pricey. Well worth it though! This movie is funny from start to finish. John Ritter at his best! RIP man! Like alot of those from generation I grew up on Jack Tripper and Three's Company. His character in this movie reminds of a more mature version of Jack Tripper. If you like John Ritter or just into comedies in general give this movie a shot. You won't be disappointed. Bonus - includes the song Falling Out of Love by Ivan Neville.

Think of the 1980's it is a comedy worth watching
This movie shows young John Ritter as an insatiable horn dog, Just trying to find love. By Screwing everything he can. One of the very best scenes is when he puts on a glow in the dark condomI'll stop there it's so hilarious you'll be rolling on the floor.

After years of searching!
Having been unable to find a region 2 English version (and I have been searching for more than 10 years), I finally took a leap of faith and ordered this DVD - listed as a Spanish import. Just to clarify, the menu is in Spanish. If you select "Ingles" and "sin subtitles" you have the movie in English. Result! As others have said, the quality isn't as good a modern movies but has a certain 80's style charm.Always loved this film, clever writing and still makes me laugh out loud.Very pleased

A great movie
I've always loved this movie since I saw it on video many years ago. I finally got around to buying the DVD and watched it with a group of friends recently. Without exception, the guys loved it and the girls hated it!You can see why. It's basically the story of a rich, talented guy who works his way through a string of short term relationships with beautiful women whilst acting like a complete jerk. In other words, he is the kind of guy that most guys want to be and most women claim to hate.Comedy-wise, for the first half of the movie the laughs come from amusing banter, with our hero dishing out put downs and caustic comments to all around him (and suffering more than a few himself). The movie then goes into more of a slapstick mode for the second half, and I have to say I found this the funnier. As for the most famous/notorious scene... I won't spoil it for you, but suffice to say this movie has one of the single funniest scenes in cinema history. It's worth buying it just for that few minutes alone!

Don't waste your money
Poor storyline, poor acting and poor quality. Only purchased this as an addition for husband's Nicole Kidman collection so would not recommend other than for this reason. Overpriced also.
