Excellent Recipes!
I have had this book and another by Carolyn Wente for a while. They are favorites.Try the PEACH-BERRY COBBLER with Meyer Lemon Crust. Page 101 (I live in Virginia so I can’t get Meyer lemons. Other lemons work just fine )My granddaughter loves it when I make this for her. I double the recipe for the topping. It’s a favorite in peach season.On page 59, you’ll find GRILLED HALIBUT WITH CAULIFLOWER -LEEK PURÉE, ROASTED TOMATOES, AND BASIL OIL. Even with a substitution of Cod, this was an amazing meal. And actually, I pan fried the fish because I don’t have a grill. Grilling the fish could only make it better.Several other pages are turned over so I can make them soon. These recipes work. And they are restaurant quality.I don’t know if it’s just me, but restaurant food is disappointing to me lately. I would much rather spend the time at home preparing a great meal and inviting someone in to enjoy it. These recipes help you make a better than most restaurants meal with fresh ingredients.My thanks to the authors.
