I have a few sets of shells. I had a preemie and so pumping got me overproducing. The first set I had were the plastic ones with no stopper, which collected loads of milk, but countless times I forgot about them and leaned forward and the milk went everywhere. I then bought some plastic ones with a stopper, but these seemed to create almost like a vacuum which stopped the milk flowing out. I then came across these bad boys. They are amazing. Note that these are not a pump, I think some people get confused. They are shells with suction to help draw out the milk that would already be coming out anyway. My baby has started breastfeeding now and I’ve managed to reduce my supply, but as he is still little he doesn’t take from both breasts in one feeding, so I alternate between wearing the shells and pumping. They collect so much. Sometimes I don’t even apply any suction. I even considered buying a second set so I always had a set spare but don’t need them often enough. I’ve not stood them up because usually they collect enough milk that if I stood them up the milk would come out of the hole for your nipple. This can’t be avoided as the hole has to be there, you just have to be mindful of how much milk is in there. I’ve sterilised them once a day for about 3 weeks now and they are still like new. If you’re looking for shells don’t buy any others! They are also more discreet looking than the other sets I had as these are silicone so can change shape. I’ve not used them completely lying down but have had them in while reclined and have never had an issue with them moving/leaking. Must buy!

I brought a Haakaa after a recommendation from my health visitor due to having a very high let down but found it very hard to still breast feed while the haakaa bottle was on the other side. When I saw the ladybug I thought it was an amazing idea but there's just one major design flaw which is so obvious & would of been so easy to include but obviously not thought of.When the bug is full there is no stopper for the hole at the back of the product which meant that when full you have to try to rotate it & tip it out through the little hole at the top (which has a stopper), which again had there been a stopper at the back the whole unit could be completely sealed for it to be transferred at a later point. This has feet which allows you to keep it stood up right but if it tips over which unfortunately for me has happened on a few occasions, all the milk comes out & is completely wasted. The little stopper at the top is quite stiff to pull out & on doing so has caused me to drop the unit spilling the milk had there been a stopper in the back the milk wouldn't of come out & be completely wasted. This to me is the only but quite big flaw otherwise this little thing is otherwise amazing for someone with a high let down.It's comfortable, portable, east to use & such an amazing concept if they could sort out the hole issue this would be absolutely amazing. This has literally saved so much milk that would of been wasted in a pad just ashame that alot been wasted due to a simple design flaw.

These are brilliant! I didn't realise how much milk I was losing between expressing, but now I use these I have minimal wastage. They suction on well initially then put in my bra to keep them in place while I'm out and about, very subtle and not really noticeable

Live the product but very weighty compared to "original"

These are very easy to use, have good suction and catch/collect a lot of milk so are definitely ideal if you leak a lot. I tend to pop them on inside my nursing bra and so far they have always stayed in place. The only downside is it can be annoying taking them off and on when you are changing sides to feed your baby but I think that’s something that would happen with any milk collector. They are quite big so they are not really discreet under your clothing. I’d 100% recommend these however I tend to only wear them in the house otherwise I’d be in public looking like I had a botched boob job 👀

I keep this in place with a bf bra, you cannot trust the suction, very dissapointing.

Was too big for my size and didn’t work for me

I kept spilling milk with the original Haaka due to its awkward size while feeding. This is great and working much better.
