Yellow Mountain Imports Set of 166 American Mahjong Tiles, Chinoise (Tiles Only Set)

The tiles were shipped promptly ( isn't Amazon great??) They were very well packaged and the set was complete. No mars or scratches. The color and pattern is very pretty . I want to let you know though, that the pattern is printed on the back of the white tile and then covered with almost 1/4" of clear lucite. It doesn't take away from how pretty they are, it just surprised me that the pattern wasn't exactly on the back. The tile faces are bright white with vivid clear impressions. A lovely set. I have two sets of pushers and am now just purchasing tile sets and the plastic tile holders. So fun to change out your sets!

I'm new to mahjong and an experienced player suggested Yellow Mountain products. I ordered this tile set and wooden racks from them. I am quite pleased with the quality of the set. The tiles have no smudge marks (as I had read in other reviews while I looked at times from other vendors). The tiles were nicely packaged and arrived in good condition. My only (minor) negative observation is that the tiles don't seem as vibrant as the photo shown on the website; albeit, that could be from the computer screen and not be the manufacturers issue. Overall, I am happy with the set and would buy them again.

Very pretty but several tiles weren’t glued appropriately and I had to reattach backs.

Great pattern tiles. Would have given 5stars but noticed a tile or two with dye missing on the flip side of the tile pattern.

These tiles are exactly as pictured. The design is a periwinkle blue, very pretty. I've received lots of complements about them. The embossed tiles are clearly read, very pretty and unambiguous. Also, these tiles are just a hair larger than others I've used, making them easy to handle and read. Comes with extra blank, flower and joker tiles too. Well worth the money.

Just received, and love it. It's a third set I tried, and this one stays. For those who are looking for a heavier tile, those made of melamine will be more appropriate. This particular tile is a bit light, but is beautifully crafted,smooth, with vivid colors.

Pretty, but one tie was smudged. Can't repair, but useable.

Everyone loves these tiles. I bought it to mix with the koi style, for Siamese MJ.

I used to love playing Mahjong online, but most of the games have very small tiles making it difficult for me. I have never physically played the game before. I had to do some research first to find out how it is played. Unfortunately, thanks to the lock down, we had only two players and not four. Like most other games you could alter the game rules, provided all the players agree to these changes.In a way it is a little like dominoes. Both my husband and I enjoyed being able to get away from the computers and tv for a while. Unfortunately, these tiles do not come with a storage case nor the racks. If you have Scrabble, you might be able to incorporate those racks.These may seem expensive, but I think the overall quality makes them worth it.

These tiles are so pretty! The designs are clear and easy to read, so there is no doubt what each tile is meant to represent. This is a slightly Westernized version of more traditional Mahjong tiles, but the game is absolutely playable.Each tiles has a decent weight to it, and all of them are very well made. They do have a little bit of a plastic-y feel to them, but they are very nice to play with and they still have the satisfying click-click when the tiles touch. This is a set that feels like it will last through many, many years of use.Do note that this is just the tile set. It does not include tile holders (if you like to use those). The four flower tiles are numbers and two of each set are labelled with a season name.

Yellow Mountain Imports Set of 166 American Mahjong Tiles are nicely made. The front of the titles have clear print what is easy to read. The back of the titles have white and blue floral print that looks quite classic.They look so nice. We love this new addition to our collection.
