You better have He-man kids...
This was a fun idea for the end of school party we always throw. Good idea, gives them some exercise, keeps them cool (ugh, TN summer). Yea, the kids did this like 3 times and were at muscle failure. I wouldn't recommend for smaller kids. My emo-I-hate-everything-and-want-to-just-play-video-games teenage daughter did it for like 3 minutes and never even looked at it again. My son (10) and his friends liked it more, but sometimes it would pop one balloon inside, sometimes two, sometimes not at all. But the biggest thing was the constant upper body strength and endurance that obviously my kids and the neighbor kids do NOT have, that it takes to keep this fun.

Great for laughs. Great for parties
We had a something like this in gym class in the 70's, but it was longer, heavier, and didn't involve water balloons. Even though it's less substantial, this is long enough to be fun, and sliding the "ball" back and forth across the ropes is enjoyable enough, though it needs the added weight of the water balloon to move properly. The water balloon aspect is the fun begins. Like a water balloon toss, somebody's going to get wet, and it's only a matter of time until you find out who it's going to be.The only real issue that we have with this is that the "ball", which screws together (2 halves) with a 1/8th or so turn, is too flexible and comes open too easily. Sometimes, the water balloon breaks while inside the ball, splattering water at a player. Other times, the ball falls open and dumps the water balloon on the ground. It would be nice if the ball held together, either with a stiffer ball or a more secure locking mechanism. We eventually came up with new rules for a loose balloon. Sometimes, we agree to put it back together and start over. Sometimes, we agree that we can pick it up and throw it at each other. Another option is change to a game of water balloon toss if the balloon comes loose. The important thing is to turn it into something fun instead of a disappointment.

Just as I remember
I had this as a child growing up. Before videos etc. I grew up in the '60s and life was playing outside walking to a friend's house, and plan exercise but having fun doing it. My mother bought this for me as a child and we had fun making up rules and little did we know that we were exercising as well. It was bought by me for my grandchild. Just as I remembered.

May not stay closed during play.
All in all it’s a fun toy. The only major problem with it is keeping the ball closed during play. It’s likely to come open when during play even when an adult closes it. I wish the closure was better because it really is a great game. Also, put more than 8 balloons in the box! I thought ahead and bought extra. 80 for a dollar. Give the kids a chance to play more than a few minutes!

Fun
This is so fun! I got it for my 10 year old and my husband and I both enjoyed it too. It comes with balloons but I wish there were more, we tried other balloons but they didn't bust.

Therapy
So I had to stay in Rehab for breaking my back for a week. One of the things I enjoyed doing as a part of my PT was playing Zoom ball with my therapist. I’m home now but my kids are all to busy and when there’s not enough room in my house to play with it. As soon as I’m able to get outside in a nice day and one of my kids has free I’m looking forward to being able to play Zoom ball again. It comes with Water Balloons but haven’t added one yet because i did try to play it in house. Don’t want a water balloon to bust inside....

Idea is great but Hard to make go back and forth but will keep trying
This was supposed to be a game to be socially distanced for the elementary age kids but it was hard to move the zoom ball back-and-forth all the way (Even for adults). It didn’t break when it was near a player. It would break in the grass because we would be tugging and pulling on it and it would droop down. It would get stuck in the middle. So we think you need to keep momentum back and forth in order to do it. We will try again. The concept is great.

great concept doesn't work
great concept but it doesn't work. the water balloons are really cheap so you will have to buy better quality balloons. All of ours busted as we tried to get them filled. The piece in the middle makes it hard to get a water balloon inside without busting it. Not worth money. Buy the regular one.
