Perfectly styled PNW look but with function and purpose!
Never owned or tried on a pair of Sorel's, so guessing my size was a gamble. I always wear a size 8.5 in everything, and ordered a half size up as many of the reviews suggested and got a size 9. I do wear thin socks, but perhaps that will change this winter. At a half size up, these definitely feel big with thin socks, and I haven't even broken them in yet. So maybe with thicker socks, the fit will be spot-on. Nervous about that but I love the look of them enough to give them a go anyway. I haven't worn them in the rain yet to comment on their waterproof/water resistance stamina, but upon inspection, they seem to be quality-stitched and very sturdy without being too heavy or bulky. I ordered these for function, which is still yet to be determined, and for style, which I think is a definite winner. As far as size goes. I would probably have got away with my usual 8.5, but then could have run the risk of them being too snug with warm cozy socks. My suggestion is to go try them on somewhere, pick the size you want, then order on Amazon to get the better price! 🤷♀️ When shopping, I compared these to the Sperry duck boots (and many other high-end and popular boot brands). I was disappointed that the Sorel's did not have zip up sides like the Sperry's, but again gambled on it anyway because of looks and function. I am not disappointed. They are easy on and off, especially not lacing the last holes (my style preference). I saw another review where a user said they couldn't get their feet/heels into these, but I can't understand why. I have what you may call "cankles" and these went on just fine, even without a zipper. No regrets. The package came on time, arrived in good condition, and was packaged in a waterproof/plastic type Amazon shipping bag. The packaging and inside product was not damaged or soiled. The boots came in an authentic Sorel box, were covered in tissue paper, had Sorel tags on, and were stuffed with dense wads of tissue paper to maintain their form. 👌 I was not paid for this review, but should be! I recommend this product. 👍

Comfortable Choice!!
I originally bought these boots before my move to NYC for a year. I knew they had harsh winters so I wanted to be prepared and get something that was good quality to withstand a lot of walking. I am happy to say, I got just that with these boots! They fit snuggly when I wore my thicker pairs of socks, but not to the point my feet were squished. Sizing was accurate for me! I tend to lean on the wider set foot, and these accommodated that nicely. I will say they did get heavy after a period of time, but that's to be expected when you're walking around 12 miles per day in the city. I'm sure anyone's feet would feel heavy after that. Nothing to complain about! They withstood snow, rain, and the bitter cold nicely! A major plus was that they went with anything. I'm not a fashion over function kind of girl, but these gave me the best of both worlds. A great choice overall!

Look great, feel great, run small.
Love the style of these boots! The colors are complimentary (oatmeal/navy) to most every outfit. The heel adds a little flair beyond the usual snow boot. I can easily slip them on and off without doing anything with the laces, and they do not feel like they’ll fall off while walking. I’ve worn them for errands several hours at a time for the past week (I live in windy cold North Dakota) and they are plenty warm. Cons: they do restrict your ankle motion a bit, so flexing and pointing your foot to use the brake and gas while driving is a tad inhibited. It’s not enough that I’d stop wearing them, and a reality that will occur with any sturdy snow boot that reaches past your ankle. Also, they run small. I’m normally an 8 and read reviews to order a size up. Ordered a 9 and they fit perfect.

Stylish, Functional and Comfortable!
Saw these and had to have. As others have stated, these run a bit small for boots. So I went to the store and tried them on. I normally wear a 7 in shoes. The 7s were definitely snug. The 8s were much better but my heel slightly lifted when I walked. I would have to wear thick socks to be comfortable in the 8s. So I tried the 7.5s and they were perfect! So comfortable. I wore them with my smart wool socks and shoveled a foot of snow this weekend (no kidding) - my feet stayed dry and warm! I had no foot fatigue whatsoever. I love that I can wear them for weather or just because. They have good traction and the slight heel adds to the style of the shoe. I purchased these online for less than what I would at the store. They arrived promptly (thank you Prime) and adequately packaged.

BUY THESE
Love these boots. They are perfect winter boots. I'd been looking for a pair of duck boots and these were recommended to me by a friend. They're the best purchase I made all winter. Now I've been recommending them to everyone. Super comfortable to wear all day and walk around in, plus they're cute boots. Keep your feet dry and warm. I went a half size up to accommodate thick socks and they fit great when I'm wearing thick socks, but if I wear regular socks with them they are pretty loose on me. I wear an 8.5 and bought a 9. I was hoping they'd be able to double as spring rain boots but I think they'll be too warm for spring weather.

Great boot!
I love these so far! I have worn them in the snow twice (full-out playing in the snow and building snowmen with kids) and have been out in the rain with them several times already. Comfortable, dry and warm! Before buying on here I went to a physical store to try them on since sizing seems to be a huge issue with Sorel. I am a 6.5, and 6.5s fit perfect even with thick socks. However they do squeeze your toes together a bit, so I tried on a 7. A bit roomier but no toe squeeze and still really comfortable. Honestly I was torn between what size to get because both fit, but felt different and were both comfortable. I decided to go with the 7, and I feel like that was the right choice for me. I find that when it's cold, a little more wiggle room in the toe area is good for keeping that circulation going and keeping your feet warmer.

Very unfortunate fit.
I ordered a half size up based on reviews. Still so tight. But it’s not the boot itself that is tight. I still have room, but the sock lining inside feels like it was made for a boot two sizes smaller. It’s loose inside the boot and I can wiggle my toes around inside and from the outside of the boot I can feel the appropriate amount of space for my toes. This stupid lining is just so tight. So tight that it’s making the the sole liner buckle up. This feels like wearing a sock that is made for toddlers inside of a roomy boot, but that the toddler sock is permanently inside the boot. It’s hurting my toenails. And even with ordering a half size bigger, there’s no way I can even fit a sock in here. Plus, the half size up already makes my foot look big, adding another size would make me look like a clown. The only way these would be workable would be to cut this sock liner out, but then it would probably be cold since it would only be rubber. The boot is also abnormally tight where the rubber meets the leather. I had a hard time even getting my foot through that part at all. So disappointed for a brand as well known as Sorel.

Good looking cold weather boot!
These boots are really nice looking and fairly comfortable right out of the box. Do heed other reviews when they say the boots run small though! I am typically an 8.5-9 and had to get a size 10 so my toes weren’t up against the front. I think the lining is a bit smaller than the boot itself, so that may be the reason they fit smaller than normal. So far they have already stretched a bit with use and while I haven’t had any full on rain/snow storms to try them out in, my feet haven’t been cold! One other thing I noticed is that the top back portion of the boot is wool so it is somewhat scratchy. Shouldn’t be a problem if your pants are long enough or socks are tall enough but It was noticeable when I threw them on with cropped leggings. Overall I’m really happy with how they look and can’t wait to test them out in the weekend blizzard we are supposed to be getting!
