I wanted to change my chair because it was too low until I discovered this bigger cylinder. It was easy to install once I finally managed to get the old one out (use proper tools to make it easier on yourself). So far it performs great and it’s actually much higher than I originally expected so the chair can go way past the desk if needed even though I use it on the lowest setting right now. It seem to be universal so it would probably fit on any regular office chair

What Could Be Better: • Installation Could Be Tricky: If you’re not familiar with how gas lift cylinders work, the setup might be a bit confusing. No instruction were provided for replacing this for it’s designed purpose. • Limited Range for Larger Projects: The 35-55 cm range worked for my table, but if you’re looking for a wider adjustment range, this might not be suitable. Bottom Line: The Adjustable Gas Lift Cylinder is a fantastic addition for DIY enthusiasts, especially for projects requiring adjustable heights like my outdoor table. It’s strong, reliable, and works exactly as promised. Just be prepared to figure out the installation process if you’re new to gas lift mechanisms. Overall, it’s a great value for its functionality and durability, and I’m really happy with how it transformed my table!

Seems well-made; good value for money. For my old IKEA Verkram office chair, it sits higher in the pedestal than the original, so it no longer goes as low as before, which suits my longer leg-length. It now goes high enough to use at a breakfast-bar, but would need added foot support.

Works well, good height range, Now rather disappointed, the inner piston moves around, and creaks and bangs. Already needs replacing.

We have an office with tops that are designed for standing and sitting, the office chair we bought only went up enough to a standard office desk height. This was a perfect match for what we needed. So easy to change, knock the old one off and this fit in it's place. If you need extra height on your office chair this is exactly what you need.

Two weeks ago I correctly fitted the hydraulic support that I bought off Amazon recently (it arrived on the 25th of August) and there is a lot of movement forwards, backwards, and side-to-side from inside the actual hydraulic support itself, not where I have attached it at the top or bottom of the chair. It doesn't matter what height it is set to. I have never sat on a hydraulic chair that wobbles and makes noise like mine now does. Disappointing. I have just messaged the seller to ask for a replacement and I will update my review accordingly.

Stronger and a bit higher than I thought. My office chair was never too stable since day one. I'm a heavy person, and a few weeks after I've received my chair, my 6yd son jumped on me and the gas lift was gone! It went down without repair. Bought this one and now it's stable and strong! So happy with my purchase! 😃 Highly recommend! U wont regret it.

Hardest part is removing your old chair gas. Didn’t realise how tall it would make our chair! Sat in the clouds, but great quality.

Mon ancien vérin ne tenait plus la hauteur, la chaise descendait toute seule. Ce modèle a parfaitement fait l’affaire ! Installation facile, il s’est monté sans problème. Depuis, la chaise reste bien stable et le réglage en hauteur est fluide. Très bon rapport qualité/prix. Je recommande pour redonner une seconde vie à une chaise usée.

This was a good replacement cylinder to make my chair higher on an taller desk. It fit my chair perfectly and is smooth to go up and down. Installation was easy and this was my first time replacing a cylinder. No complaints so far, would recomend. Just a general note: If your replacing an older chair I would recommend to buy some lubricant and a pipe wrench. The old chair cylinder was very hard to get out. This new cylinder went in easy. Vervangen van de cilinder was vrij eenvoudig. Echter na een paar maand begint de cilinder soms uit zichzelf in te zakken. Dit is wel irritant

Lo compre porque el piston de mi silla era demasiado bajo y necesitaba uno mas alto y este cumple con todas mis expectivas. Facil de poner, muy alto y robusto AVISO: el de 55cm es MUY alto. Yo mido 1,87 y al minimo llego de puntillas al suelo (no me importa porque lo que buscaba era que el reposabrazos quedase a la altura de la mesa y eso lo cumple perfecto) pero si es verdad que con el modelo de 45 cm hubiese tenido mas que suficiente
