Chester's Masterpiece

Book arrived promptly. I felt like there was discrepancies between the condition the book was advertised to be in versus the reality of the book's condition. But, the boo itself is outstanding. My 4 year old loves Chester. She brings up the books even when we aren't reading them, and has made her own Chester-esque books a few times now. The series Melanie Watt has shared with us really are delightful.

Our family loves the Chester book series - perfect for our 5 year old, but also entertaining for the older kiddos and us as parents.

The twins (age 5.5) love the Chester books (two others)--they couldn't wait for this one to arrive, and they weren't disappointed!

This book is worth the money. It is way better than the 2nd book, and even better than the 1st one in my opinion. My seven-years-old son loves to read this book. Chester the main character of this book (a cat) is the author of this book. He makes himself the main character and mouse the villain of the story he is writing. Read the book to find out what happens? Oh Chester is the illustrator of the book too in most pages. I like how he used tape and staples to make this book. This is a popular book is my son's classroom too.

I bought this book to read to my son's second grade class. ALL of the kids loved this book. In it, the cat takes over and starts writing his own story. The kids probably don't even realize they're learning how to write a story and what a story needs. It's a very fun and entertaining book. I plan on getting more of these books by the author.

My son loves this book, especially the last page! Read every page because there are nuggets of humor hidden everywhere, from the end pages, within the copyright and about the author (and her cat). Maybe Melanie has a dog who wants to steal the spotlight? Or Dr. Evilmouse will write a book, too? Looking forward to more from Melanie. Er, I mean, Chester.

A little too much text and story is all over the place but my little one likes it, I just prefered the First Chester book.

Chester the cat is back in Chesters Masterpiece. We tried to buy this book at the book fair at my daughters elementary school but they were sold out. I tried at Barnes and Noble but they said that they were sold out and could order it. I figured I might as well buy it on amazon and enjoy the convenience of it being shipped to my house instead of driving 25 miles up the road to pick up the book at Barnes and Noble.This is my daughters new favorite. She is in 1st grade. My 4 year old daugther loves it too. They both giggle everytime I get to the part where Chester is trying to be nice to the mouse and says "Hey you look great, have you been working out?".Anyway....I highly recommend this book to any Chester lovers out there. We've had the book about a month and the book cover is already ripping because we read it every night. We'll end up tossing the cover in the garbage soon. No big deal...thats what they are for.

Wonderfully imaginative - great follow-up to the previous 2 Chesters. Loved it and so did the child I was reading it with who is dyslexic.

Great book, my kids love this cheeky cat. His funny antics really make them laugh. Great for their ages, 3-7.

My 3 years old son likes being read to with this book. Completely different. I never heard of Chester until now. It starts with the author (Melanie Watt) trying to tell a story and Chester starts overwriting on the page what she is trying to say. Then Chester keeps on going while Melanie trying to tell the story.This is our second book.

Most original children's series I have ever read!! Also hilarious!! Unique idea and perfectly executed. I highly recommended it for children and their parents to enjoy together
