i was surprised how light and easy to use it was. It just plugged into a spare usb port and push a card that you have videos, music or camera images and you can start downloading almost instantly to a spare folder of your choice. Fairly quick and quiet. Its small and easily put into a pocket or case. It doesn't store any information but designed solely to get data transfer. Would i either buy again of recommend. I purchased this Card Reader for use on my 2019 Macbook Pro because i was fed up with trying to use my old USB 'A' Card Reader with a USB C adapter as it was bulky and only USB 2. I also had some CF cards which had been given to me a couple of years ago which I did not have a Card Reader for.I am so pleased that I purchased this Card Reader as it works perfectly and it is light weight, robust metal construction and slim so it fits in my slimline Macbook bag easliy. As with all the Syntech USB C products I have purchased for my Macbook, the USB C connecter inserted very positively into my Macbook with a reasuring 'click'. It was recognised by the OS immediately. The Card Reader does not even get warm, unlike my previous one. The USB cable is reassuringly thick and well made.I tried both SD and micro SD cards and cannot fault the speed of both reading and writing but I had some trouble when I tried a CF card as it wasn't recognised every time I plugged it in and when it was, transfers failed. It turned out that I had picked the one faulty CF card in the bunch I had been given as every other CF card worked prefectly and I am now a CF card convert thanks to Syntech's Card Reader.My one and only criticism is the colour! It is a dark grey whereas my Macbook is silver so it doesn't match but I can live with it..

I was weary at buying this as I thought it was too cheap to be any good. How wrong I was. It's small, neat and quick along with ease of use. The only thing I feel it fall down with is the length of the cable, it could be a few inches longer.

The product arrived promptly and is really well packaged. Once opened I was met by a really nice looking package showing the name of the company on the front and on the reverse a computer diagram of a computer/laptop and the device labelling the card slots (SD,CF and Micro SD). The item within is housed in a plastic bag with a small booklet with FAQs, contact info, warranty info and a bit about Syntech.The card reader is well built and has a clear layout. The connection has a snug fit into my USB C slot on the MacBook Pro.It's a plug in and play style and I have put a card in each of the slots (SD, CF and micro SD) and they have all come up on my desktop as individual folders at the same time which is brilliant.I haven't had the item long so I can't comment on long term reliability but for now I can confirm the item is good looking and a well built bit of kit that does what it says it will.(I was approached by Syntech to give this product an honest review as part of their free trial program.)

I love the reader as it sits on my desk in front of the computer and is very low profile. i had issues with other readers (USB) but this has performed flawlessly. it has three sizes of card and is fast with all of them.

Excellent for me just what I needed and it worked. Some others I bought didn't and had to send them back

USB C beats USB 3 and this reader is fast for CF cards etc.
