Quite fascinating. A lot of great information of the behind the scenes and the people involved. I Gene Kelly's work

To think that Gene Kelly quit taking dancing lessons at one time or that while sledding he veered into the street and was brushed by a truck when young makes me think we were lucky he was alive to make movies like "Singing in the Rain" and "On the Town" which have always been two of my favorites. Surprised to learn he majored in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh and that he was originally cast in "Easter Parade" until injured, yet overall I enjoyed the book and welcomed the great photos included as well. Very good book!

It was interesting, but not exciting

Very short, adds nothing new.

Firstly, the print in this book is tiny. I managed to read it with my reading glasses, but some people might need a magnifying glass.Secondly, this reads like a term paper some high school or college student wrote, with parenthesized acknowledgments supporting some statements. Thirdly, there are no page numbers. While it does give an overall picture of Gene Kelly's life, it is hardly professional, and seems to have been written by reading what other people have written about him.On the plus side, it's fast reading. The "book" is about 3/8" thick, hardly what could constitute a full biography. However, such brevity might please some people who really don't wish to read a long book about the subject.

I've been a fan of Kelly all my life! And I'm delighted to have a look at his theatrical background as well as a brief look at his personal life. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to know about the history of the musical in film and, of course, any of his fans.

I love any books about old Hollywood! This was entertaining but sometimes the grammar was not correct...this is NOT Amazon's fault but just an observation.

I lived this book to get just a overview of his life before purchasing a full grown bio. I love doing with Kindle s nimi series. Gene kelly was such a dynamic actor.producer and and so much more. I was disappointed how after making such great movies.I mean haven't we all seen at a GENE KELLY movie..I we would recommend this book for basic information( their Like cliff notes 'remember them.
