A Life-Changer, Like Cinderella Finding Her Slipper...
I ordered Thermoskin Premium Arthritic Gloves on behalf of my father, who contracted rheumatoid arthritis in his right hand after an injury that had caused a blood clot.My father's hand had been hurting him continuously, and the joints got so stiff that it became hard for him to do even basic tasks like comb his hair, grip or pick up objects, take an item out of his pocket, turn a key in a lock, or turn a doorknob. He couldn't sleep much because the hand hurt even worse in the night, and would swell up and feel so cold and almost numb. My father was sad and miserable because he has always been very active.Nothing provided relief from the pain or inflammation...and he'd tried Tylenol, Advil, doctor-prescribed arthritis medication - and every natural remedy he could think of, including heating pads, hot cloths, hot water soaks, Epsom salt soaks, table salt soaks, Castor Oil packs and other oil packs like Olive Oil, rubbing alcohol, herbal soaks, ginger root soaks, drinking ginger root tea, drinking sage tea, drinking thyme tea, wearing a long cotton leg warmer on the hand, lightly wrapping in an ace bandage, and more. None of these things helped, and some - the ginger soak, light bandaging, leg warmer - made the pain and swelling immediately worse. Baking soda decreased the pain and swelling a bit, but it wasn't enough.I researched options for post-blood clot care and rheumatoid arthritis care. We wanted something that would increase circulation, prevent swelling, improve flexibility and mobility, provide warmth, and stop the pain. Therapeutic gloves with compression points that reflected natural heat seemed like the best option. My father was hesitant to try therapeutic gloves, because wearing a winter glove outside or even putting his hand under a blanket or thin sheet with the rest of his body while he slept would agitate the hand and cause it to swell up and hurt intensely. We also knew that he couldn't wear just anything on the hand, since it had just recovered from the blood clot. I talked him into giving gloves a try, and he bought Ace Rejuvenating Hand Support Glove at Walgreens. The Ace gloves helped the pain and swelling, especially if he put Baking Soda inside, but the gloves made his hand hurt and swell up if he kept them on long. The Ace gloves did nothing for blood circulation or warmth. We chose Thermoskin Premium Arthritic Gloves because it has compression points that would help blood circulation, and thermoskin material that would warm his hand to exactly his perfect temperature by reflecting his natural body heat back at the hand. We felt that the gloves would be perfect for his needs. Thankfully, we were right. His hand felt so much better just minutes after he put the gloves on. It was like Cinderella finding her glass slipper. Just three months later, the glove had healed his hand so much that he now only needs to wear the gloves occasionally. With or without the gloves, he can move his hand freely again to do basic tasks, be handyman around the house, and do the rest of his daily manly tasks. He can wear the gloves indoors or outdoors. The glove keeps his hand warm even when it's cold. The hand no longer swells up or gets numb due to the glove's compression. The hand rarely hurts now, and even when it does, the pain stops when he puts the gloves on. He feels that the gloves saved his hand, because he used to be afraid that he'd lose it or have to have it amputated. In fact, before getting these gloves, there were times that he almost wanted the hand amputated because of how bad the pain was. We're very thankful for these gloves and the people who made them. It was expensive, but worth every penny.

Great gloves for what they're intended
These are good gloves. They provide pressure and keep your hands warmer. That does NOT mean that your hands will be warm....it means they'll be warmer. These aren't heating gloves and anyone who expects that will be sorely disappointed. These will help, but they're not a miracle. Several times wearing them, I got frustrated that they weren't helping more and got annoyed at their uselessness. But whenever I took them off, the difference between wearing the gloves and not was very noticeable: the gloves did help. I just wanted them to help more. The fingers are long, and that worried me. I didn't want to cut the fingers in case the gloves were useless and I had to return. So I folded the fingers down. The gloves still worked great, and the black and red actually look pretty cool. It's pretty easy to keep the fingers folded too so that I'm not always redoing them. It was so easy, I figured why bother cutting them? Bonus, I sometimes wear them to sleep and I unfold the fingers so I can have the extra long fingers then. If, like me, you get muscle tension around your thumb, you can also switch the gloves (wear the left on the right backwards and vice versa). You can't tell the difference visually, but this way the cloth tugs slightly on your thumb pulling it open and back just a little (as opposed to enforcing the natural hand position that's more closed off). These are also super easy to clean. I turned the gloves completely inside out and flat and closed the velcro tabs. Then I stuck thm in one of those mesh washer bags for bras. Threw it in a front-loading washer with the rest of my delicates, then hung them to try (pants hanger). Super easy. These gloves aren't magic or heating pads. If you expect that you'll be sorely disappointed. But they are quite excellent for what they are intended.

IMPRESSIVE - WORK GREAT FOR RA
First thing I need to say is that I have active Rheumatoid Arthritis so I have been trying various types of compression and arthritis gloves hoping to find ones that will offer the most relief from almost constant pain. These Thermoskin Gloves are very close to being the best I have tried. I bought the size Small and they are very snug which is what I wanted. I started out wearing them a few hours a day to get used to them and it did take me a while to build up the ability to wear them longer periods of time because although I am small-boned my hands are long, so the distance from my wrist to the webbing between my fingers is longer than the space allowed in the gloves. Therefore they pull down slightly on my hands. If I keep my hands straight for too long it becomes painful at the point between my ring fingers and middle fingers. I don't think a bigger size glove is the answer though because the rest of the glove fits and I even have a little room in the fingers. I am thinking of snipping a "v" just at that meeting place between those two fingers. Hopefully this makes sense. The alternative is to keep my hands bent partially closed when wearing the gloves but that gets tiring for my joints. GOOD POINTS: They keep my hands warm by building up warmth almost immediately after putting them on, which really helps my joint pain. They are comfortable once you get used to wearing them and since I have small wrists the wrist wraps do not bother me at all. They are great for Driving Gloves as they grip the steering wheel well and help with hand fatigue which is a huge problem with arthritis sufferers. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND these gloves to anyone with arthritis as the alternative is unpleasant (chronic pain, chemo drugs, etc).4/12/2018 Update: I did snip a āVā at the space between my middle and ring fingers and eventually it started to rip. However they have held up beautifully. If I get a new pair I will reconsider cutting a slit or if I do will sew the edges
