These boxes fit a wide range of items.

The Good: sometimes you can catch these on sale and they’re about 70 cents a box. Each time I’ve ordered, they’ve come in wrapped well and undamaged. Haven’t had one rip or tear yet.The Bad: one box in ten is bound to have a glue issue that lifts the folding sides of the box. Sometimes a layer or so of the “ears” come separated, but are still able to be used. Thin construction.

These boxes are thinner than the ones that are white on one side and I have used both. In fact, I don't think you could really construct a box with much thinner cardboard than is used with these...but there are advantages to that. One, of course, is the weight. They are close to an ounce lighter than the white boxes, and mailing thousands of comic books like I do even one ounce can make a difference over time (I'm honest with my USPS weights). They also tape a bit easier because they are lightweight and my 2-inch tape works well with one application, whereas I typically use two strips with the white boxes (which are thicker and the tape doesn't "lay down" the cardboard as easily).You just have to be sure to use bubble wrap or other cushioning inside these boxes to protect the contents, and make sure the bubble wrap takes up all the inside space. I do that with the white boxes too, but it's more essential with these. They would crush pretty easily with any pressure unless the contents completely fill the box. But all that said, despite being a little disappointed when I FIRST received the boxes, now I use them regularly and like them. I still use the white boxes for more expensive comic books, mostly because of customer perception. But these certainly have earned their place in my mailing operations.

I can see why people have said these aren't great for folding into boxes. They work well for flat things like books, which is what I think they are designed for.

These boxes are great for shipping books. I love how I can fold the box to fit 1 book or 5 books. I have used them multiple times and they are very sturdy and easy to use. The only thing I dislike is there is no adhesive, so I had to purchase that separate to seal the boxes.

These boxes are terrific! Easy to use. Such a time saver. The book is safe and the box looks so professional. Highly recommended.
