Solar Powered Welding Helmet Auto Darkening Hood with Adjustable Shade Range 4/9-13 for Mig Tig Arc Welder Mask (Black Eagle)

I purchased this welding helmet to replace my expensive helmet that had got broken. At first while unpacking the helmet I thought I had been sent a child's toy used for a costume or as a childs dress up toy. The instruction manual is written in an extremely small font with unclear instructions that mad it difficult to put the helmet together. But then I got it together and tried it. And to my surprise the darn thing worked flawless. In fact it worked several times better than my expensive welding helmet ever did. It was a comfort to wear. The hood closed quick and easily with just a small nuge from my head. The viewing area was extremely clear and darkend perfectly to my adjustment. There are some huge concerns about moisture and sunlight conditions damaging the helmet that was expressed in the instruction manual. However if those elements do not create problems under normal working conditions I'm going to rate this as one the best deals available.

God the job done for the price. Please ensure you check the sensitivity and strength dails before welding. I noticed the sensitivity wasnt turned up high enough and luckily caught it before welding.its not comfortable, its not that stable on your head etc but its cheap and gets the job done on the odd welding project. Id buy it again

Really happy with it except for the the knob, the tightens the helmet stops, falling down, broke so I can figure out something else, and just doesn’t work as well.

Great alternative. Quickly changes light and doesn't have any issues. I've used it several times at work without fear and actually helped me get better with welding (since I can actually see it now). Only difficulty was putting it together but it's pretty straight forward.

I actually ordered 2 welding helmets that are the same except one is blue and the other one is black. They were Xmas gifts that my brother and I got for eachother, the blue one is mine and he got the black one. The blue one came first and it was perfect when I got it, it works great and looks awesome, my brother got his a few days later and for some reason his came with a nice storage bag and mine didn't? However his also came with what looks like a blistered up burn mark on one side that's as big around as a coke can and looks terrible, the worst part is the decal was put on partially over the damage to the helmet. My brother was really bummed out about it but because he needed it the next day for a job he was working on he wouldn't let me return it for him? It's upsetting to me that not only did the manufacturer let it slip by more than once but so did Amazon, don't you require your employees to check items for damage and or missing pieces before sending it on to the customer, if you do they're not doing a very good job wherever the welding helmet was shipped from, myself I would've sent it back but my brother needed it, hence why I got it for him, I usemine everyday as well
