A Great, Cheap SSD
I bought this for my upgrades to an old MacBook I bought, and this drive worked perfectly. It takes less time to boot and transfer files, it made the computer overall faster, and I don't need that much storage for what I'm doing, so 512GB was more than enough for me. It's small and compact, perfect for using as a replacement for a backup USB drive or using it for your laptop. It is made of plastic, but that's likely the least of anyone's concern, and now there isn't an annoying sound made every time you click a single time on your desktop.

Average budget SSD performance
This drive has a real-world benchmark of 400 MB/s and some burst speeds into the listed top speed, closer to 380 MB/s if you're using this for coaching tasks. Better as a scratch drive on pitch film review or giving it to a player. Good for coaches that may prefer using a reliable storage drive to issue to players than a SD card out of a GoPro. As on any SSD reliability is the amount of empty space to handle TRIM. Overall the value per GB is similar to others, based on using different 120-240 GB drives they all peak to 400-440 MB/s and sustained writes are closer to 380 MB/s.

Rock Solid !
This SSD is perfect to and Years to any PC. I used it to migrate almost 80 gig of memories from a mechanical drive that was 10 years old before it died. If you have minimum computer skills you will be fine to use / install this. I will be purchasing at least one more to replace the C drive in an old game box sitting on the shelf.

VERBATIM has been making storage before it was called storage!!
I have not formatted it yet, but the installer recognized and correctly ID it. I use xfs.

They will not honor warranty 1 out of 4 drives failed within 4 months
I bought 4 256GB Vi550 drives. one of them failed within 4 months. I tried to use Verbatim warranty and after putting me through hours of run around on the phone they took the claim and then completely ghosted me. I would not buy from Verbatim since they don't honor their warranty
