Perfect
Bought this for my GF to use while we out on the trails. Whether it raining or just real muddy she can throw these on over her clothes on a second.Yes it’s light and some call it like paper but for our needs it’s perfect.

difference between mens and womens versions? Could be just updates to design.
I bought a suit like this for my husband a couple years ago. After getting soaked recently from above knees to feet, I decided I needed a suit, too. I thought I had a good rain coat up until then. But I was tired of getting awfully wet.... I have good boots, but raincoat only covers so much.Got this yesterday, got to try it today. I put a lightweight fleece jacket on under, and a ball cap on my head to keep rain off my face. The suit is VERY bulky, lots of room in it. But I think that is what helps it breathe also. I went out in pouring down rain and my clothing stayed dry.I have short legs, so I turned the legs up so that they wouldn't drag... yes, there is velcro that you can fix around ankles, but some of our puddles here are quite deep. I'd rather have shorter legs on the pants than worry about dipping them into water. My husband has the same problem... we really don't want legs so long that we have to figure out a way for them to stay up... rain and or muck boots keep our feet and legs dry. After sitting out of the rain with stuff still handy I started noticing differences. They could be upgrades to both versions, I can't know. The new suit I got, the womens jacket hood is attached, not held on with snaps. My husband's older suit has a detachable hood. The hood on my husband's suit is HUGE. The only way to make it smaller are drawstrings that you'd have to tie. New suit has elastic cord and cord locks. That meant that I could fit the hood and have it stay without having to tie strings under my chin. The legs in the pants of my new suit were split at the bottom, I guess to make it easier to get boots through. Husband's suit pants are just really really wide at the bottom.. and his boots do not fit through. Mine fit, but I think it's easier to put the pants on first and then change into boots. (plus, no worries about getting dirt on the insides of the legs)His pants have a drawstring elastic with cord lock... and that is on the inside of the waistband. Mine is on the outside. One other thing: my ladies jacket has the zipper wrong side around. No one does that anymore, I can't imagine why they did that for this jacket. I am used to standard zippers all threading in the same side. Unisex zippers. I don't need a wrong way zipper because I am a female... I'm not going to be breast feeding a baby wearing this!

Description of the "rain suit"
I ordered this suit becauses I needed a "rain suit". Thinking it was vinyl. But when it arrived, I was scompletely disappointed because it looked & felt like shinny paper! It was ill fitting as well. I am completely unsatisfied with this item and am returning it to Amazon.

Great value
Very lightweight and keeps the rain out!The only thing that I don't care for is the fact that there are no pockets in this one that I bought. I've had other frogg togg before and they had pockets in the jacket. The ones I had before were black and I like this light lilac color because it stands out much better at night time. Still a great value. Just very disappointed that there's no pockets

Keeps us dry.
Light to carry in case of a need to use. Bought it for the wife because I’ve had one for 8 years and still in good shape to use. We are avid RV’ers and it’s great for set up or take down in the rain.

No Pockets!
So disappointed! No pockets!!I bought this outfit because it said classic. I've read the people's reviews, but I'd like them to know that my last pair of Frogg Toggd lasted over 20 years. They've kept me extremely dry and warm in the rain. I've never had a problem with them and the material softens over time. I loved mine and I finally wore them out so I ordered what look like the same pair that I had and it said classic, but it is not a copy of the original cause the original had pockets! When an item says classic, it should be a copy of the original. For anyone that does a lot of outdoor activities like fishing and camping, they need pockets.!!!

Surprisingly great!
I bought these to wear on a sailing trip in the Med in early April.I was expecting some wave splash during the passage and there was the possibility of rain. I figured I did not need to go all out and buy expensive sailing wet weather gear for just this one trip. They were comfortable, fitted nicely (I wore them over my clothes and was still able to move quite normally) and the material was stronger than I imagined especially after reading several reviews.I did get wave splashes on the passage and felt the water hit my thighs. I expected my pants to be wet underneath (it sure felt like it at first) then within a little bit the pants were dry and I realized my pants underneath were dry as well. Super! We went on a small motor boat (a large dingy i would say) ride to visit a fanatastic cave, and the guide raced through the waves. We were all splashed and everyone was soaking. I wore the Frogg Toggs top but not the pants (bad decision). My pants were soaked but I was completely dry where the top covered.I thought it would be warmer in early April, so I did not bring warm clothes. I was cold and wore these to protect somewhat from the wind as well. I think that if I had warmer clothes underneath, it would have been better. However, without these Frogg Toggs I would have really suffered.I would buy these again and thing they are great. I do not remember what size I bought, I believe I went with women's medium. Oh, I really liked that the leg bottoms had a velcro tape attached I could wrap around my ankles to make sure they fit snug.
