Love this book!
Darling book! My students had the unique pleasure during World Read Aloud Day to chat with the author, Erin Dealey. 📚 Ms. Dealey is wonderful!!! This delightful story of a girl who has chicken pox is presented with an artful weave of beloved nursery rhyme characters. Ms. Dealey went through and pointed out “fun facts” in the story the students may have initially missed. (Like why the “doctor” is a mouse.🐭) This is a great addition to any classroom or home library. I’d also recommend her book, “Deck The Walls”, as it is a holiday favorite!

A romp through the pox
We were given this book when one child got chicken pox...and appreciated it all over again when her sister came down w/ it 21 days later! This is a fun romp of a story, which the Kindergarten/1st grade set particularly enjoy because it has so many familiar pieces. They love recognizing both the skewed bits of other fairy tales and the whole chicken pox process.

Cute book!
Cute illustrations, and very cute book. It has a few pop up surprises form other popular characters, The Three Bears ,Little Bo Peep, etc...I Bought this when I thought my child had chicken pox, it was a false alarm, but we still enjoyed this!

I bought this for my girls when they had chicken pox. They loved the story, it was easy for my 6year old to read and the mix of characters is great.

A nice idea to cheer up a little one with the pox! However there were some quite suspect attempts to create rhyme. Still my daughter liked it and it made her feel a bit better about her spots- like the story her little brother caught them next so she found that very amusing too.
