They are filters that filter
Does what it's supposed to. Fitment is great. Mine came with foam around the outside edges. I'm guessing this was missing for the people who had fitment issues. Maybe this was a manufacturing oversight or quality control problem that they have since fixed? They're a little pricey, but about on par with competitors.

Excellent replacement filter - Make sure to reset the replacement reminder.
I almost gave a bad review because the replacement icon lights up (PM2.5 light turn RED and keep flashing) only to discover by reading the manual that you have to reset the replacement reminder; to do so hold the Fan Speed and Timer buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds.

Confusion!
In a 3-stage air filtration process, the air that goes into the purifier first goes through the pre-filter, the carbon filter, and lastly, the hepa filter. This ensures that the air is first cleaned of larger particles before it reaches the hepa filter. Their product illustration confirms this process. However, according to their own instructions, the filter should be installed with the hepa filter facing the intake vent, which doesn't make sense. Installing a filter this way would readily clog the hepa filter of larger particles, making it lose effectiveness quickly. We bought an Airthereal maybe a year ago, but my husband was the one who replaced the filter previously. I felt like the filter seemed to lose effectiveness quickly, so I bought this H13 medical grade version. When I went to remove the old filter, the pre-filter side looks pristine, which makes sense bec it is not able to catch any of the larger particles bec the hepa filter has done that instead. At first I thought I must have been confused as to where the air enters and exits, but i checked and I was not. Nobody here seems to mention this weird set-up though. Am I missing anything?
