AquaClear Activated Carbon Filter Inserts for 110 Gallon Tank

We purchase these often. They are a great buy. We save a lot buying them online instead of the fish store.

I have a 55 gallon but all goldfish my granddaughters won at a carnival. It keeps the tank spotless.

I like the filter and I like the media. It is a great value and so easy to install. It keeps the water very clear. It is the only filter I ever had.

First of all, I really love the quality of the AquaClear pump. Bumping up the pump size on my existing tank, makes for a consistenly cleaner tank, happier fish (yes there is such a thing) and a pump that also runs cleaner since it is designed for a much larger tank. Problem though is the inserts (filter, charcoal, and BioMaxx) are also designed to service a larger tank. The preportioned biomaxx and charcoal are too much for a smaller tank so you need to cut back in these areas if you super-size the pump. As to the charcoal, I don't know what is going on but on the small tanks, the charcoal is clean out of the box. The 2 different boxes that I have used at this size require serious rinsing of the charcoal packs before placing in the tank. The amount of black water and charcoal stained hands from this is a real problem. That said, if you take the time to rinse all of the black out of the charcoal prior to placing in the tank, you will have good activated charcoal, a great additional filter, and your fish will be around to enjoy

You really have to watch what you order and what you get. These are the actual carbon filters needed for a AQUACLEAR 110 Filter. I have received Fluval 110 filters as replacement from other suppliers but they are a lot shorter. These are the proper filters. Thank you!

This is used for the 110 water filter. It works well.
