Lanchez 1.6 HP Shallow Well Pump with Pressure Tank

I replaced a Grundfos pump , which according to Grundfos could not be rebuilt as it was discontinued and no parts available, They said I could buy their new model pump for ONLY 1,200 usd... no thanksThanks but no thanks...I instead bought this great combo pump and pressure tank and I have been happy ever since.American built with high quality materials and high quality design.The pump is quieter and smoother and with the pressure tank it prevents pressure drops or surges...Im glad I bought it

This pump worked perfectly and the directions were clear. You will need to buy a filter with a check valve to go on your intake line.Two month of use follow-up:The pump ran for 6-7 hours per day for most of August to water grass and has never failed. I also use it to wash down our boat dock when it is covered in Mayflies.I am very pleased with the pump and my only regret is that I didn’t buy it years ago!

Was easy enough to install. Getting the pressure set correctly was a bit finicky and it struggles at anything approaching traditional house pressures starts cavitation at about 38 psi . Heads up the gauge is in bars not psi but that wasn’t an issue. Once dialed in it provided two weeks of seemingly great performance in a two person country home without dishwasher or heavy laundry usage. Until today. Out of the blue it failed. Stills runs still spits water but refuses to pull or push properly. It is the pump. As I placed a tired old back up unit in place and it pulled without any prime and pressured the system. Typical chinesium f/n garbage stick to a siemans. Made in Italy German quality control and worth every penny of the extra 200 bucks especially when you factor in the effort required getting in and out of a pump house or crawl space. Again this unit is junk and the thermal cut off also failed as it tripped the circuit twice while troubleshooting.

Second pump. Look at it as disposable product. Inexpensive, works well but after 2-3 years my last one started leaking in multiple areas with the pressure tank losing integrity.

I installed this to have water at our dock so I could use a pressure washer. I used CPVC and shark bite fittings and it went very well. I did have to do some troubleshooting to get it to draw water (it required water in both the up and downside of the pump for it to finally start drawing water up. Once it did, the pressure was fantastic!

This pump is amazing. It is very quiet and very powerful. It’s a perfect fit for my garden well. highly recommend.

Pump worked well then the diaphragm failed after 3 years service.

If this pump fails, you can not find replacement parts anywhere, the entire pump section is plastic on plastic with a metal ring dividing the spinning plastic and the stationary plastic in the silver metal section.I messed up and forgot to unplug the pump/turn off automated timer after testing how fast my shallow well dries out.the pump over heated and warped/melted the plastic bits because the pump lost prime due to no water and running until the plastic seized up.That part is all on me BUT the problem with this pump is if you are in need to repair this down the road, you will not find replacement parts.this is a gimmick pump in my opinion and I recommend buying a pump that has part replacement available.I can not recommend this pump for the long term user
