David has truly outdone himself this time! I’ve read every book he has published, including the Matt Drake series. What has kept me reading has been the amazing style of David Leadbeater. He sets the story up, then takes you directly into the fray. You feel as if you are a part of the journey each time (I’m still waiting for him to introduce me to Alicia Myles!).Despite my absorption into the Matt Drake world over the years, I was completely on the edge of my seat for the entirety of this book! I’m sure I speak on behalf of his legion of fans when I say the ending left me speechless and stunned! Is OMG in the Webster’s dictionary yet??The only question I have now, David is ... where do you go from here?Great job!Mark Gilliard

From reeling over the President’s death to a glamorous Christmas Eve party before it all goes to hell!Action packed not knowing what is around the next corner much less the next floor! Just when you think you can take your next breath, the action starts all over. Wow David - you really pulled out all the stops in this book... needing follow-up soon!!

I’ve been waiting like forever to this final encounter tohappen !After all the hell Matt & the team went through they finallyget both the Blood King & The Devil in one location that they won’t get away & pay the ultimate price for all the hell they caused!

So much action, horrible villains and such interesting characters. What more could a person want from a book. Now to wait patiently for the next one.

What a creative genius David Leabeater is, truly one of the best in the business. This book is so full of surprises and directiions that it is hard to see anything ever being better. I am just in awe.

Another brilliant tale of family, fire & brimstone. A modern take on an old theme. Well-written, with a palpable sense of loss, tragedy & a spirit to survive. Be smart. Stay the course. Until we meet again!

I totally enjoyed this nonstop adventure story. It keep you unable to put the book down. I plan on reading the next book now.

Another great fast paced story. I did feel the team defeated their two worst enemies a bit too easily but a wins a win, keep up the great work David.

It comes as no surprise to me that this latest instalment just takes your breath away. As well as the usual breathless action and humour the last few pages just highlight what a gifted writer David Leadbeater is.I can only appeal to you reading this review to buy this outstanding book written by someone who is at the very peak of his craft

Once again a cracking book from David. Mayhem and chaos seem to happen wherever the Strike team are and this is no exception. Left out in the cold with no backup or resources and 2 big bads still out to get them, the team, not quite as we know them, have to rely on each other, David brings the book to a natural conclusion, that seem fitting for right here and now.If you haven't read any of David's books then get reading them, he really know how to weave a story and keep it fresh.

WOW!! What a great book. Action right from the start for the team and what action. Non stop chaos for friend and foe. As usual I lost sleep trying to finish it but had to give up at 4am as my eyes were so sore. Great book but won't mention anything about the plot as I don't want to spoil it for other readers. Great book from Mr Leadbeater in this chaos we are calling life right now. If you have not read any of this series now is the time to try it while we are all quarantined at home. Can't wait for the next book in the series. Stay safe everyone.

I chose 5 stars because this thrilling adventure from Drake and crew does not disappoint. From beginning to end it is full of death defying action. Just what you would expect from the author. From the first book to this recent one, this 'family' will go to hell and back for one another and I enjoy the thrill of the journey with them.

Have waited for a long time to see how this would end and I wasn’t disappointed. A great story line to the finish of all the books, and so pleased to hear that it is not the actual end to the story, but I don’t know how you can raise the level again in the next book, but I can’t wait. At least we will have relic hunters. I hope soon as we are still in lock down.
