This gadget actually works
I will admit I was 100% skeptical about this gadget but was so tired of high electrical bills so thought, why not. For less than $20, it's a good investment and I definitely saw savings. I waited 3 months to compare bills from last year (plugged in late Feb/early March) The first month was minimal savings but enough to cover the cost of this gadget. But June and July saw significant decrease in kwh usage and savings. The price per kwh has decreased a bit (from $0.11049 to $0.10816) but even if using the higher price, there still would have been savings. Nothing else has changed - same # of people in the house with the same schedules as last year, same weather/temperatures - really nothing else that we could pinpoint that would result in a savings in electricity other than these boxes. We have a 1900 square foot house and I only used 2 of these boxes (one in the garage and one in the kitchen). Yes, they do take up an entire outlet but luckily we have a lot of extra outlets in the house. Not sure if adding more boxes would be of benefit but might try it. I have also read that these boxes don't last forever and you have to change them out periodically - maybe every year but I can't remember the recommendation. I also think these things do take a few months to actually see results. Leave them for a few months and then compare your bills.ETA - after a year of having these things plugged in we had a total savings of $424.

It works saving you electricity... because it hogs a whole outlet.
So, I saw an internet ad for these and decided I'd try a couple. If they worked, they'd essentially pay for themselves in a few months and I'd consider getting more, maybe even as gifts. If they didn't, I'd return them to Amazon and get my money back. Right?Well, I tried it (one in each end of my home) and saw absolutely ZERO change over the next couple of months. In fact, my energy usage went up (may have just been the wife with all of her garden lights, though... but they can't fully be blamed, because some of them are solar). What I *DID* notice is that since they are big and bulky enough to hog an entire standard power outlet, they may stop people from plugging things into it, so in that regard, it MAY help. Maybe that's the change that some reviewers had? Because I have two outlets blocked off for these monstrosities.Despite their bulky size, they're EXTREMELY light! Like, go to pick something up thinking it's heavier and smack yourself in the face with it light. The plastic feels cheap and there seems to be little to nothing inside. One sounds like it has something loose and rattling in it to boot (and maybe that's why it don't work, but probably wouldn't make a difference either way).Wife found them the other day and asked me. "What the **** did you waste money on now?!" I tried to explain and she looked like she wanted to slap me. [Pro-tip: Wise long-married men know that look and know it's best to just slowly back away... and be prepared to run if she takes pursuit.]So... since Amazon asked for a review, I remembered that I felt cheated by these and I looked at more reviews from these things (Amazon has tons of them from different manufacturers... all with Chinese-appearing names). Since I bought mine, it seems that many have had a similar result. I see that in at least one popular review, an actual electrician examined these things inside and out, determined the only thing in them was the chip that turned the small LED light on, and that was that. He called scam and questioned why these are allowed to be sold. I usually never get caught in scams and can almost always see right through them... yet I do believe that I may have fallen for one here, which is tough to admit, but I'll man up to it. They caught me trying to save a couple bucks. *SMH*And return them for money back since they're a scam? Well... after using them for the required time to see if they make a difference on your electricity bill . . . . . . . . the "Return Window" was up. Hmm... convenient, isn't it? Stuck with the lousy, bulky, penlight night lights, now. Maybe my wife will be ok with it if I tell her that's what they are? .....Nah, not as gullible as I was buying these things... sigh.... :/

Works—-maybe.
I have a larger home so I purchased 6 of these in hopes it would reduce my electric bills. Problem is, it takes a while to evaluate them as you need about 3 bills to compare. Of course the return window closes in 30 days. The extended return window over the Holiday allowed me extra time, but will close before my next bill comes in. My first electric bill was lower, but my second one shot up over $100. Could be the colder weather, but I really need that 3rd bill so I will update my review when I get it.Bottom line is, I think having them is beneficial overall as regulating current is important to the life of my electronics, but the cost of the units will require several months (if they do work) to recoup the costs.

Save Money
I could actually see my electric bill going down. I am going to buy some more and give them as gifts because nobody believes they will work and this will be a pleasant surprise.

Performs as Advertised
I've had the AC blaring all summer. Electric bill before last was $113. No change in electricity usage over the last month. This last bill that came in yesterday included last month with this energy saver plugged in next to my refrigerator. Total was $74. That knocked nearly a third off my bill. I'm impressed. It works. It stabilizes the wild currents of electricity in your house.

DOES NOT SAVE ON ENERGY
I bought this item with the hopes that it would work. I had to wait at least one month so that I could compare my utility bills. I compared bills....NO SAVINGS. I could not return the item upon realizing that they didn't work. VERY DISAPPOINTING. Save your money.
