Great Intro Device
I don't usually write in depth reviews but we really like the Tiny Talker Too. True it doesn't have the best sound quality in the world but we found if you record in a completely quiet place and enunciate your words slowly and clearly it gets the job done (I did it in our bedroom after all the kids had gone to bed). Our child's special education teacher, speech therapist, and OT love it as an inexpensive way to introduce speech devices as well. They're actually planning to order a couple themselves for other families they work with to try. The initial products we were directed towards by his supports cost several hundred dollars and a hope that our child would be amenable to using them which felt risky from a financial perspective for our family. We also weren't excited about using apps on an existing electronic device (like a phone) as we then had to find a way to lock down the device so that he couldn't access other options. However, that lead to him getting frustrated assumingly because he knows our phones can do fun things like turn the tv on or play music. He didn't respond well to just visual cards or mats and would not interact with those. The alternative we found were the large single push buttons which work well but can be cumbersome to take on the go. So we actually purchased 2 tiny talkers so that we have one that stays at home and one that can go in our child's bag to school and his appointments. I will say I was not the biggest fan of some of the labels it came with. However, I got some inexpensive sticker paper online and printed our own pictures. It was no problem to put those on top of the existing labels and we left a little excess on each sticker and put that under the red plastic grid that separates the buttons so our child can't peel them off easily. He's really taken to the tiny talker and likes that he can hold it himself as he walks around the house and will push a couple buttons to say a more specific phrase (such as "more" followed by "milk"). Overall if you're feeling overwhelmed with too many single push buttons or simply want a low cost way to see if a child will be amenable to using a more pricey device we would definitely recommend the Tiny Talker Too.

Great simple talker!
FABULOUS simple introduction to a talker! SO excited to have found this and be able to make at least a little head way in my son's communication. LOVE that it's recordable so I can change it up to meet our specific needs. I plan to change the pictures by adding a sticker or even gluing a Clipart picture, as needed. LOVE the price. The only trouble we've had with it is that some of the buttons seem to short circuit or something?? Only some of them, though. And only after several weeks of over use. (My son likes to push buttons over and over and over again, and since we're using this as an introductory talker, we allow him full access to it.) Or maybe it's because my son chews on it? (He chews on EVERYTHING.) The sound cuts out part way through the recording. I tried re-recording, and that didn't help. I tried changing the batteries, and that didn't help. I bought a new one, and the same thing happened. Still love it and might even buy a third one... and try to keep him from destroying it, haha.

Easy for my 4 year old to use
This a nice device for non verbal children that need to communicate basic phrases. I wish I was able to re record over the phrases, that’s my only “complaint”

!!! great product !!!
Works great the buttons all work well when you press them. The instructions are simple to follow to record your message and assign to a specific button to give its user a voice. I would recommend this product with confidence.

3 talkers and none currently working
I have purchased 2 of these, and a blue one that had a kids book called Lucas the Lion Loves the Tiny Talker. The only thing going for them is the price! Between all three I have spent about $100. None of them are working after 1 yr. One stopped working about 2 weeks after buying. The two others were about 6mo or so. The buttons are hard to press, there is no response as they are flat and its hard to tell when they have been pressed, they don't respond with a gentle touch, but don't have any bounce back or click. The voice quality is overall poor. For the red ones (this product), you can record your own. However, there is a button on the side that makes it very easy to record over. My son was able to get to that button no matter what we did, taping over it etc. And that would undo or change all the recordings. After a short while, they all just quit working -- changing batteries (they use button batteries) didn't help. So either plan to buy multiples or save your money and buy a version that will last. For us, the blue one that came with the Lucas the Lion book worked longest and best. That one does not let you record over the items, there is no additional button to record on.
