OPI Washington Collection, Yank My Doodle 15 ml

I love this colour. Perfect for autumn

Beautiful colour for autumn. The finish is great and it lasted days on me. I was given a great tip of going over the nails with nail polish remover on a cotton pad, before polishing (even if you've washed your hands) and that contributes to the longevity of the nail lacquer. The colour doesn't streak and the brush is great as always.

I love OPI nail varnish and this was an interesting colour so I was keen to try it. It's kind of a orangey-brown and gave a good finish with two coats. I really liked the colour and think it would be a good replacement for a nude varnish. I only wore it for a couple of days so I'm not sure on the longevity but I'm planning on putting it on when I go on holiday so will see how it holds up and provide an update.

I have always liked OPI nail varnish and this new collection is no exception. The screen doesn't do justice to the lovely colours, which are elegant and not at all gaudy. They go on very smoothly and give a good depth of coverage, even with just one coat. They are quite resistant to chipping, especially if you add a top coat. Super product, not surprisingly this is the main one used in my local beauty salon.

OPI always make great nail varnish. Good coverage, not too gloopy, easy for even the most inexpert person to apply, and although they chip, like all nail varnishes, they do seem to have a bit more stamina than other brands. For this weirdly named 'Yank My Doodle' varnish, all this is true. Really all I have to comment on is the colour. It looks brown in the picture and in the bottle. When you apply it, it has a lot more orange to the tint than you would think at first. It's sort of caramelish on application. I'm not sure I like it to be honest, not because it's not great, but because it's not really a good colour for my pale, pale skin. It looks too orange against my luminous flesh! It's a very summery colour though, and both my girls grabbed it and are really delighted with the colour, so it's just a question of taste at the end of the day.
