Nostalgia heaven
Don't listen to the naysayers - this is great slice of 80s nostalgia. If you're looking for sophisticated, literate music then you're obviously in the wrong place. However, if you're in the mood for a trip down memory lane to the time of big hair and synth pop then you can't go wrong picking this box set up. The first 2 DVDs are great pretty much from start to end. The 3rd disc, Headbangers Rule, is more uneven and you get the unsettling sight of rock legends like Ritchie Blackmore and Ronny James Dio resorting to truly awful music and imagery to try and stay relevant. Still, there's some really good stuff on this disc too.In short, this box set delivers what it promises - fun, guilty-pleasure laden hours of cheesy 80s music, images and fashion.

In case you missed it...
This was the perfect gift for someone who had heard all of these great songs but had not seen most of the videos. I have a friend who lived in the boonies but LOVES 80s music. He did not receive MTV until many of these songs were long gone from the air and tv waves. He was extremely happy and excited to see this collection. There were a few videos that I really have no clue as to why they were on there, but for the most part, this is a really good collection!

Back to the 80's!
Love the nostalgia. Was great to go back in time to my teen years and relieve the golden years of MTV.

Made my husband laugh
Purchased this as a birthday gift for my stuck in the 80's husband. Gave him a great laugh, but not something to watch over and over again. Glad I bought it even if only for one viewing.

Nice compilation
This collection is not perfect but I think it's probably the best and largest 80's music video compilation you will find in one package. The picture and sound quality seems to be as good as it can be for all of the videos. The first two DVDs are pretty good but the third one is missing some big names like Motley Crue, Quiet Riot, etc...
