I bought these as favors for a Gatsby themed party (hence the aptly named title) and they worked great. I read the other reviews that stated these had a strong chemical smell, but I did not have this issue. They had a very faint odor when I got them...like the smell of regular plastic (?) so I just laid them across a table for a day to air them out. After that, they smelled like absolutely nothing.They are not expensive looking by any means, but they served the purpose that I needed them too. They are plastic beads. They are white in color (like the picture suggests). They are long(ish). That was all the criteria I was looking for. If you are wanting something that is trying to look expensive, then maybe look somewhere else? I dunno. These were fine. No complaints.

Used for decoration. Worked well. Definitely costume, and not to be taken seriously.

Basically the same as the kids jewelry/ mardi gras bead type necklaces. They look nice. We used them to decorate tables at a wedding reception. While they aren't perfect, they were nice enough to add a quaint touch.

I was impressed with the quality despite the cheap price. They did have a slight chemical odor...but it is 105 degrees here, and they were on the front porch baking in their delivery box. So when I opened them, there was a slight smell but it wasn't bad. After the pearls cooled off, there is no odor.We are using them for a drill team dance, so hoping they hold up to dancing. If they don't, I will report back. But they do look pretty good. I was surprised. Thought they would look cheap, and they don't.

The 33" necklaces I received are brand "Kid Fun," made by C-P Inc. In reality, they are about 18" long. They have an extremely strong chemical/plastic odor as soon as you take them out of the bag.The pearl necklaces I received are bright white. Some of the pearls are melted and fused together, with a brownish burn mark (I'm assuming it is glue). They aren't the best, but will serve the purpose that we need them for.If you are looking for realistic-looking pearls for a classy event (say, a wedding, or a black tie event), I would not recommend buying them. Remember - these are a novelty item.

Not the fanciest or most dazzling beads but certainly worth the price and was what I was looking for. I wanted something for a dress-up play area for little girls and these fit the ticket. A little better quality than you'd find at a party store and certainly better quality than at a dollar store. I'd purchase them again.

I’m not sure what people complain about. They’re beautiful. I used them to drape over my chandelier while I was hosting a formal tea party. There is a TON of them, great price, and I thought they looked very tasteful and elegant. You could wear them as well.
