OXO Good Grips Flexible Ice Cube Tray with Lid - 2 Pack, Blue & White

I don't know why we haven't been making ice trays with this rounded bottom shape. Ice comes out easily and it's flexible enough to break out the ice cubes but sturdy enough that it wouldn't break. The lid does nothing for me. If you overfill it, the ice will stick to the lid and make it hard to slide off. I only use one tray at a time so I don't need to use the lid to stack them.

One of the only ice cube trays I found that works correctly. Cover for each tray allows you to stack them easily and they don't evaporate if left in the freezer for a long time. Ice cubes release from the tray and don't crack into pieces. Price can vary a bit but a great product.

[edit: I'm bumping this up to 4 stars, because I discovered the importance of NOT OVERFILLING THE TRAY. When properly filled, there's about 1/8" clearance between the top of the ice and the bottom of the lid. If you take care in filling it, the lid doesn't stick to the tray as you'll find in many reviews. One might well argue that a goldang ice tray shouldn't be so fiddly, but mindfulness is a virtue.] I dunno, 3? 4? 3.5? I bought this about a month ago and I go through a couple-three trays of ice a week. There's not that much to learn about an ice tray. This one I find... pretty good. The lid, when snapped on and slid into place correctly, lightly suppresses but does not hold the water in the tray on the way to the freezer beyond the gentlest slish. If you're a clumsy dork like me, this tray ain't gonna save your proper slosh. Keep dishrag handy and be ready to refill. The clever mechanism by which this tray can deliver a single cube at a time is, for my purposes, useless. Who wants one ice cube? Especially when they're half the size of the ice cubes we made in those aluminum trays with the lever you pulled to forcibly dislodge those manly cubes of yore. I will say, though, that although the shape of the cuboids here produced roughly halves the volume of yon cubes, the elegant way they toboggan up the opposite side of the tray when you press on one end is delightful and enormously satisfying. I have found it difficult, not to say impossible, to fill it such that splishing water on the way to the freezer does not freeze the cover to the tray. This is no problem for me, but my tiny aged mother has a hard time giving it the <TWIST> <TWIST> that it needs to release the cover or indeed the cuboidal forms within. Caveat arthritico! It's fine, I'm not sending it back. It was what, five six bucks? But the anticipated cleverness of deign from this brand here bats only one out of three for me.

Excellent trays, easy to fill and easy to get the cubes out. I was tired of struggling to get cubes out of other trays which quickly cracked and/or leaked. I've been using these trays for 3 months now and love them! The cubes aren't as large as some other trays, but a tray fills my Yeti for the day. I refill them 2-3 a day, quick and easy. Would recommend.

way better than those silicone ice trays that break, rip, and end up smelling bad. these are easy to clean, refill, and take the ice out of. something to keep in mind: i usually try to fill them a little less since if you fill then too much, they stick to the top part, making it difficult to slide off.

These are so nice, they keep the ice clean and you can rotate them so easily. Very pleasing.

We bought these because we got a new fridge with a freezer on the bottom and no ice maker. I didn't want to be spilling water into the freezer every time I put in the trays, so I thought these would be good. They definitely help in that scenario; the lids keep the water in and they are easy to stack. The only issues we have with them is that a) the lids tend to stick a bit if you fill the trays too full (the water freezes onto the underside of the lid) and b) the trays need to be twisted a bit to loosen the cubes to get them out. They are a bit stiff. Once they're loose, the cubes pop out easily. They are a touch on the small side. If you like a lot of ice in your drinks, you'd probably need 3-4 of these cubes. Overall, though, they're fine. They don't spill and they make ice!

I've had this set for 1 year now. I love them, learning curve for me was getting them out. If you over fill them it will be hard to slide the lid off and what I do to push them out I very gently, twist until I hear a little "pop". Try not too over fill (where it creates a layer of water in the little the fill lines) it's super easy to remove them and I love it so much. Especially if you struggle with joint pain. Oh, under filling is okay to they still push out easily still. Mine aren't cracked or broken, they are still in good condition.
