Gosky Astronomical Telescope Accessory Kit - with Telescope Plossl Eyepieces Set, Filter Set, 2X Barlow Lens

I purchased a nice Celestron NexStar telescope over a year ago and the lenses that came with it are workable. But after getting this lens kit, "workable" is a matter of opinion, because these are SOOOO much better. With the stock lenses, I could see Saturn and its rings and a couple of moons. I could get Jupiter and Mars. The moon, obviously, could be seen with very good detail.HOWEVER, with these lenses, I could see the star cluster in M42 (the "sword" of the Orion constellation), a bunch of stars with their color spectrum easily detected, and I even pulled up Uranus without much difficulty. Seeing Uranus was pretty much impossible with my stock lenses. I'll have to wait until summer for Jupiter and Saturn.The Barlow lens does allow for an attachment to connect a DSLR camera. I have the Nikon D5600 and purchased the Gosky Nikon Camera T Adapter M42x0.75 T2 threads which fit the Barlow and my camera perfectly. Unfortunately, the added weight made taking pictures of stars and planets difficult. And the moon, tonight when I was stargazing, was near the sun over the Pacific Ocean.I'm excited to take this kit out later, on a warmer night and with my astronomy club, to try out the filter set.

I like this kit as it has a variety of items for my spaceprobe ST130. All the lenses work well and the Barlow 2X is good at bringing in the planets into view at a better magnification. I have been using it just about every night, only not when there are clouds lol. I love the range but love especially seeing Jupitar and the rings of Saturn. The filters help with the brightness and swing the objects better. I cant wait until the moon can be seen and Mars is close enough to view as I believe these lenses will give me a great view to see.

Great kit to expand your telescope’s capabilities, filters allow for better viewing of the night sky and celestial bodies like the moon and other (relatively visible) planets. Eyepieces have a quality that is much better than the stock ones included with the telescopes allowing for a much clearer image and the Barlow is a great addition to any telescope set (even if the telescope includes a stock Barlow, the difference in quality is worth it)

I love these filters. I've looked at the moon without these and once I got these and tried them out OMG!!!! I WILL NEVER NOT USE THEM. This was probably the best purchase I've ever made for checking out the night sky. Has all the filters you need and fit all the normal eye pieces. 100% recommend these even for the novice star gazer.

The eyepieces I received were better quality than the ones I got with my celestron 70DX travel scope. The filters were also nice for viewing planets, particularly the moon/skyglow filter. You can't really beat this deal for the current price its going for, I paid $70 for it. Other eyepiece kits are going for well over $100 minimum, and this one pretty much gives you everything you need without any extra stuff.

Most of the accessories that come in the kit work just fine and for the price I am satisfied and will keep the kit. The lenses, which are by far the most important part, work well and I get clear images in all three. A word of caution though, the 6 mm lens has an extremely small hole to look through and to get a clear image you essentially need to touch the lens with your eyeball. However, it does work and you get the highest magnification in the kit while maintaing clear images if you don't let those two things bother you.The biggest issue I had with the kit was the Barlow lens. I can only focus on street lamps and things relatively close to me. I cannot bring into focus anything in the night sky so it is useless. This is partly due to the fact that my particular telescope, an explore scientific firstlight 5 inch reflector, doesn't have enough focuser travel. However, I looked into some of the equations behind a Barlow lens (I am a physicist) and they could definitely have designed it better. It needs the negative lens further down the tube with a different focal length. Regardless, it didn't work for me so it may not work for you.The color filters won't impress you but are fun. However, nothing I point my telescope at while using the moon and skyglow filter looked any different.Over all the kit is cheap feeling but to get three lenses that give clear images at this price is great even if the other parts of the kit, especially the Barlow, are fairly useless.

I love that all four color lens come together they are expensive to buy one at a time. They work beautiful to see star clusters,and Nebulous, and the moon filter works great. I can't believe I got all this for a small price. They work beautiful on my Levenhuk 76-700 which didn't come with the color lens or the moon filter. Great value.
